Paslode impulse finishing gun wont fire. battery fully charged and gas is full.

Has the tool been striped down and cleaned lately? And are you using genuine paslode gas? If not, do these two fixes first and try again.

Have all the nails been cleared out of the tool where they were jammed? If not take the fuel cell out of the tool, and remove the battery before working on it. If still persists come back to this website for further help.

When it stops firing is the little light on the side of the handle green or red? If it is red then the battery is draining down too quickly. Either the fan switch has malfunctioned causing the fan to run all the time (I have seen this before) or you got either a faulty battery or charger.

Give it a thorough cleaning.. if it still does not fire you might have to replace the spark plug.

could be a bent probe not allowing full travel of the safety , fan motor, loose wire, or circuit assembly. If you are handy with tools, remove the battery and fuel cell. remove the 4 screws holding the cover on top of the cylinder assembly and down where the saety is remove the 2 screws there also. gently pull the cylinder off the tool. when you have apart check toe condition of the Oring on the top plate where the fan motor is. Now reinsert the battery and you will see a rocker switch towards the top, depress it and the fan motor should come on. if not try and depress the trigger switch and again the fan motor should come on. If neither start looking for loose or broken wires, if you find none then I would guess the terminal board would be bad. you can also remove the handle halves and look for a loose connection at the board itself, they sometimes wiggled loose where it plugs in. you need to give more info mate , it the battery charged , is there gas in it how old ,is it filthy inside etc etc

problem solved - battery charger indicated that battery was charged with green light on, took battery ouit & placed it back in charger & red light came on after doing this three times the battery was fully charged and the gun worked fine.

Any time these guns become intermittent or stop firing but the fan still runs, the first the to check is the expiration date on the gas cartridges. The do expire and this will make the gun work inconsistently or not at all.

make sure that the filter in the back is clean you can pop the back cover off and clean it with water if it is dirty then the excess co2 gas that the gun gives off will not be able to excape the chamber and sensors inside the gun will not let if fire. This should work for you
