I don't know of any global RESET function for your model scanner, but you can clear/delete the frequency (they're not codes) in any channel by programming 0 (zero) into the channel. Also, programming any new frequency into a channel automatically deletes/overwrites the previously programmed frequency.

Need the manual for your scanner? You can download and print it, at no cost, here:

I have a 04 pontiac montana.I want 2 clear codes(auto zone said they couldn't) so I can find out what's wrong with my van.It keeps throwing old codes so we don't know which are current. How would I?

Buy a scanner at autozone about $50 and clear them. That way you will be able to scan your self and know what is wrong with van. I have my own scanners

CLEAR TROUBLECODES 1995 AEROSTAR

The codes should be cleared with a scanner. However, on a 1995 Aerostar, we are talking about an old EEC-IV system. You cannot clear codes on that vehicle with a generic OBD code reader because it is not OBD compatible. You need to get access to a Ford "Star Tester" or an aftermarket scanner that can emulate a star tester.

Codes can also be cleared on that system by disconnecting the negative battery cable, but this is NOT the recommended procedure because disconnecting and reconnecting the battery cable can cause voltage spikes that can damage sensitive computer equipment in your vehicle. If you decide to do it this way, make sure that you leave the battery disconnected for a minimum of 15 minutes before reconnecting the cable.

I want to clear all frequencys out of scanner

Turn off the scanner.
While holding down 2, 9, and Hold, turn on the
scanner. It takes about 3 seconds to initialize
and "CLEAr" appears.
The above is from the "Resetting the Scanner" section on page 53 of the manual.

Lost owners manuel. need code install instructions. and also how to clear off all old codes

There is no general reset function that will clear all of the frequencies (they're not codes) from your scanner, but there are two ways to clear individual frequencies:
1. Programming "0.0" (zero point zero) into a channel will remove the programmed frequency.
2. Programming a new frequency into any channel will remove/override the previously programmed frequency.

You can download and print the manual for your scanner, at no cost, here:

KEEPS CODING 5 cylinder misfire. Replaced plug, plug wire, coil pack. Still coding. Any suggestions?

Clear the computer. Either use a scanner or disconnect the NEG battery cable for 10 minutes. The old defect takes 25 to 35 startups to clear itself. Then there is the possibility that #5 is a different cylinder on that motor. The engine may be misfiring because of a bad injector on #5.

My engine management light is on the whole time and i only bought the car. does that sound bad

It depends on Why it's on. It could be an old code indicating a fault that has been corrected, but the code was not cleared, or it could be an existing issue. You have to have the code(s) read by a scanner and see what is indicated. Note the code, have it cleared, and see if it comes back. If ^^^so, it'll have to be dealt with. If not, it was a random event that has cleaned itself up or it's an old code that indicates a problem that no longer exists.

How do you clear all channels so i can put the channels that i want in it

There is no need to clear the scanner before reprogramming. When you enter a new frequency it will automatically overwrite the old frequency. To clear unwanted frequencies you can program "0.0" into any channel to clear it, or simply use the LOCKOUT feature to prevent the scanner from stopping on a channel.
