I did not get a manual for my Luminox Field Time and Date Series watch. Setting the time is not a problem, but I can't figure out to set the date of the week??

Use this link and browse through my TIPS AND TRICKS: http://www.fixya.com/MyProfile/tips.aspx?usrid=1700524. You will find manual for your watch there.
you set it using the wheel pull it out , it should have two positions, one adjust time the other one date and chronograph, I see if I find full manual.
I was unable to find any instructions on the Luminox web site but I suggest you try the following:
Screw the winder anticlockwise ( to release it) and the pull the winder out. I would expect to find two "out" positions, one for the time and one for the date setting.
After setting the watch push the winder home and screw it back in.
it has a screw-down crown, you have to turn it counterclockwise until it pops looses slightly, then you can pull the crown and set time...dont forget to push and rescrew it down to case to keep it water tight :)
With our 10 year old grandson's help, my husband was able to figure it out. Took a while, but he is now wearing his watch again!
Thanks for the follow-up.
This model is like any other analog watch, only difference is the screw-down crown...turn counter-clockwise until crown pops up...pull out 2 clicks and set time...push in 1 click to set the date, then into case completely...remember to screw down watch back into case...good luck :)
This movement has a really quirky thing going on, its one of the few movements that you can actually turn the hor hand to set the day forwards or backwards...so on a day that goes from the 31 to the 1st it will advance fine, if there is no 31 for that month you can turn the hour hand 2 cycles and it will advance through the 34, continue to the 1st and set time...date can also be set by turning the hour hand backwards thru the dates...go ahead it doesnt 'hurt' the movement a bit, its made for this...so in oither wiords, when you get a new cell and the date is lets say the 15th and your watch says its the 2nd, just advance the hour hand through until you hit 15 and yoiu are good to go...hopefuly this help and didnt confuse much...good luck:)
If you dial in the date before noon make sure you stop winding the crown right after the date flips. That will give the internal mechanism the most room to cycle and not flip at noon. If you are setting it after noon wind the crown just until the date you want starts to move to the following date, but stop immediately after so as to not flip over. That way the mechanism will be close to changing the date and should flip it at midnight. Make sense? Hopefully, good luck.
