I have Panasonic KX-TG6051M cordless phone. I have been using it for years with no problems. I now get the message:"No link to base. Move closer to base, try again." I have read the user manual and tried the 3 solutions described in the Error Messages list. The problem has not been solved. The only thing different I did with the phones today was to try to clear the missed calls Caller List on one of the handsets. Any suggestions on what to try next?

Hello! Have you re-registered the handsets? If not go to page 39...If you have re-registered the handsets...Pull the batteries for 1 hour...reinstall batteries...allow handsets to set in the cradle for 1 minute then test...

Will it work in High Rise building , any

This is not a mobile phone but a cordless one. The signal arrives by wire till the base which retransmits it to the headsets. The thickness of the building outside walls does not intervene in the propagation of the signal: the source is inside the apartment.
The phone should work. You may have some out of reach messages if the apartment is huge and the base and headsets are too far apart, but otherwise no problems.

Panasonic KX-TG6051M 5.8 GHz -Caller ID view problem

I have a panasonic KX-TG6051CM 5.8 phone with 3 handsets. After less than a year 2 of the 3 handsets developed the same problem, almost in the same time ( a couples of hours apart). The battery indicator shows low battery and is charging continuously even though the battery is fully charged ( when i swap the battery with my 3rd handset, the battery indicator shows fully charged and works fine ). The handsets were never dropped, never used in a moisture ladden environment ( like bathroom ) and when not in use they were kept in the charger. Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.

No link to base move closer to base

Your getting this message because the radio portion of the handset or/and base is not communicating with each other. This can be temporary or fatal. You can try re-registering the handset(s) to the base by following the directions in the manual, its fairly easy to do for any model. If that does not work, and you have more than one handset not working with this problem, then it sounds as if your base needs repair or replacing.
