If it is nine months old the set must still be under warranty, the problem you are describing is an intermittent audio problem and can be difficult to locate. I recommend getting in touch with the people you bought it from and get the satisfaction you deserve.

I did a hard reset on my tv Panasonic TC-P42X5 to come back on after a power outage. It worked! But NO VOLUME! I can't get volume to work. There is no sound, just picture.

Turn it off and wait about three days and see what happens. There were quite a few pannys sold a few years ago around 2011 where if the power was interrupted like that , they would not work normally until about three days later. Crazy, I know. But ...................

My t.v display and sound will not turn on after the t.v has been turned on.

If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contacts
in power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service.

Why would my t.V. go black after three to four minutes

This Sansui set has been plagued with problems and is now fast becoming a dinosaur. Repairs are not cheap and as this is a low HD non-HD tuner set its probably time to think about an upgrade anyway to a full HD set with built in HD tuner.
The set was made in China and sold through Kmart but has no real support here or from the makers.

If you dont intend to do anything with your TV I would very much like the Remote control as mine is broken.

No sound on my 32'' Insignia LCD HDTV

you might try checking the sap (secondary audio programming) option in your tv if it has one make sure it is turned off. if it is off or does not have that option you will most likely have to take it to a repair shop. i would not try to fix it my self as you will do more harm than good.

Sound and Volume trouble

I bought my Insignia 32" LCD in November 2007 - same problem. I figured out that if you press the "input" button on your remote select any of the other options "component 1, composite 1, etc.. that you're TV isn't on -then press "input" again and go back to the component that you're TV plays on - you'll have volume when you go back every time. I've gotten so used to doing it now that it's become habit. 9 times out of 10 I have to do it.

Westinghouse LTV-32w4 HDC - adjustment buttons unresponsive, volume drop, etc.

plug your cable connection to a vcr "in" then run a seperate cable cord from the vcr "out" to your television (which should be on channel 3 or 4) depending on your vcr setting and use the vcr to control the channel so when your westinghouse freezes and becomes unresponsive you could still change the channel and so on through your vcr and tv acts like a monitor works for me. N.B be sure to set the volume and so on before it freezes which could be like a 1min window from turning your tv on
