The batter cells are weak and wont hold a full charge, replace with a new battery, also check that there is nothing in the way of the contacts such as foreign debris inside the battery cavity of the impact.

Replace cell in lithium battery pack

Battery packs have a lot more than 1 cell in them and are not designed to be replaced. You need to get a new pack. Sorry.

Hi my makita 18v impact driver seems to be getting alot weaker throughout the years, still works but no enough torqe

Lithium batteries have a limited lifespan, typically 3 or 4 years, and their capacity between charges decreases over the years.
To extend the lifetime of a battery it should be run completely flat after every few charges rather than topping it up. New batteries need to be charged several times and run flat under normal use before they gain their full capacity.

How to diagnose makita 18v impact losing power. Already replaced battery

If the battery didn't take care of the problem check the brushes next. Take the two screws out of the back cover and check both brushes (Part Number 194427-5). They should be at least 1/4" long and evenly worn, if not replace them. If they're excessively burnt or chipped and broken, check the armature before replacing them. If the commutator is damaged it will only shorten the life of the new brushes.

Hi both red and green lights are flashing and it wont charge battery bl1830 lith ion

If both lights are flashing it means the battery is defective so it won't charge it. By defective it could mean the battery is just worn out or there may be a short in the battery. If the battery is under warranty you can get it replaced at a Makita Service Center, if not you have to buy a new battery.

Skil cordless drill model 2362 - won't charge

I have the same problem. The guys at Batterries Plus told me that 7.2 volt battereis are not easily replaced and definately not through them. If you left it charging for to long (ie over a week when you were gone like me) then the battery is never gonna charge again. You might as well find the same model of dril at skil's reconditioned site for around $40 or buy a brand new one for $60 or $70
