Needed and put in a new 9V battery in my keypad. The keypad now does not work. Do not see keypad light up when pressed, ???

The new battery seems fine. Did the tongue to the prongs on battery test and it seems live. I will try another one, hopefully that will work.

Sounds like you may have a bad battery if the keypad was working before you replaced it. If the keypad did not work I would suspect it has failed.

Why doesn't the keypad light up?

If its still working then that side of the board inside of it is burnt out. If not working then check your batteries. I'm finding ALOT of 9v and round batteries already dead for the stores.

Hope you can suggest a solution to my problem with the 976LM Security Keypad. I did not work so assuming the battery needed to be replaced I inserted a new battery. But there is not life in the keypad....

It is never necessary to change the access code due to non use. It is the opener that remembers the code not the keypad. If the keypad doesn't even light up when you key in the code and press enter and you are certain the battery is good then the keypad has just failed and will need to be replaced.

Need to know how to change batteries, I have ten properties with schlage keyless enties

It depends a bit on the lock and how it was installed.

For the Home locks with a panel on the interior of the door, remove two screws and take off the inside cover. These screws can be at the top and bottom or through the plate of the interior door handle. Then remove the 9V battery and install a new one. Put the cover back on and replace the handle, if needed, and the screws. (Do not use a cordless screwdiver - you could overtighten and strip the threads.)

Other installations have the battery inside the panel with the keypad on the exterior of the door. To access the battery compartment, you need to remove the interior door handle or lock. Then pull the keypad section out of the door. The 9V battery will be behind a coverplate on the back of the unit. This cover needs to be pivoted downwards to open the compartment.

The Schlage commercial offline locks (no computer monitoring) use AA alkaline batteries (4 or 8) in a block. The eight battery version has 4 batteries on each side of the block. These are all on the inside of the door. Remove one screw to get the cover off. Then remove two screws to get the battery holder off (this keeps the batteries from coming loose in the block). Replace all of the batteries and resecure both the battery holder and the cover panel.

For the consumer Schlage Locks manuals, see http://consumer.schlage.com/Service-Support/Pages/InstructionandManuals.aspx . For information on the Schlage commercial locks. see http://commercial.schlage.com/electronicsecurity.asp . The manuals are available in the Technical Library for each lock type.

I hope this helps.

Liftmaster Keypad does not operate door

You can try programming the keypad but I have a feeling it has just quit working. To program it: locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in your PIN and press enter.

The camera doesn't open and it doesn't charge. It is dead.

I wonder if you attached the right voltage of charger.
Thats what I did. I put on a 9v dc charger
Now my v570 is dead......but ironically it will still charge a battery.
Now an expensive battery charger!

Keypad for chamberlin garage door opener stopped working

You need to reprogram the keypad. Press and release the learn button on the back of the motor. Within 20 seconds, press your four digit code into the keypad and press and hold the enter button until the lightbulb on the motor blinks once. You are finished.

Make sure the battery is good. anytime you change the battery you need to reprogram the keypad.

Press and release the square button on the circuit board. You then have 20 seconds to input the desired code and press enter.

Battery charger light flash

Its pretty simple to fix. The lithium battery has just depolarized. Just buy a 9V battery.... put them end to end... the 9V and the lithium and touch the metal parts of them. hold for 20 seconds... if it doesn't work, lick the 9V to conduct the electricity better.. hold for 20 seconds and put directly on the charger... I just did this, and it is charging as we speak! good luck!

Caller-id quit working

I have the same problem with my unit. Emerson customer service made some suggestions, including pulling the 9V battery, disconnecting the phone from phone and power for 3 hours, etc. Their first suggestion (earlier this morning) was to Push "Up" button and hold for 4 seconds, then pressing the "delete" button three times and re-pressing the "Up" button for 6 seconds. That procedure failed. I'm in the midst of the 3 hour wait after full disconnect of phone line and 120V plug. I don't think my phone will come back. I'll be happy if it does. Good luck with yours...Richard
