Make sure your Nintendo Wii is connected to the internet. To check this go to Wii, Settings, move to second page and click Internet. Then select Connection Settings, Connection 1,2 or 3 depending on what one your using then select Connection Test.

How do I confirm SSID. I reset parental controls and It can't find access point

If you are unable to find the access point itself this is likely due to a configuration within your router. There are a couple of possibilities here. If you have a dual channel router and have only configured the 5 GHz frequencies your Wii will not find them. If you have hidden your SSID (chosen not to broadcast it) this of course will also prevent it from being seen... and in the case of most Wii models; it will also prevent you from even finding it manually.

There is no option to disconnect the wireless capabilities of the Wii, so again, it is likely something in your router's config.

Trying to connect to netflix via Wii: error message code 51030> Unable to find an access point. Please confirm the SSID and try again.

You need first to have a wireless router for your wii to receive a signal, once this is set up you need to call your cable provider for the ssid#. This will link your wii to the router so that you can access internet/ netflix. Another way to do this if you don't have a router is to connect your wii directly into you bradband modem using an ethernet cable. I hope this helps.

Unable to find an access point. please confirm SSID and try again. Not sure what SSID means

SSID is basically the name of your network. A lot of people's networks are named the generic "Netgear" or "Quest_(random number)", but some people like me have a custom set network name.

To find your SSID, type in the address bar 192.168.0.1 exactly, no .com or www. Once you arrive to the network page, search around for either SSID or network name, as their basically the same. You can also try to find it be searching around a computer that's connected to the network. You should be able to find it in the system tray, as pictured here.

Hover over the circled icon, and it should say the name of your network. That's what SSID means.

NOTE: If you're trying to connect to your network by wireless connection with the Wii, try the "Search for an Access Point" option and see if your network appears. If it doesn't, then try entering your SSID.
