Hi,
To change time on your Bosch oven, please do the following:
1. Press the clock icon (above the MINUS (-) button repeatedly until the clock icon on the display illuminates.
Please note: There are 4 illuminated icons on the display above the time. There are 3 which have clocks on them. You need to make sure the 4th icon (on the far right) is illuminated on the display.
2. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the clock to the correct time.
Once you have set the correct time, the oven will return the displaying the time and the illuminated clock icon will disappear. You do not need to press anything to confirm the time is set.
If you are still having difficulty, please post back for further assistance.
Regards,
BElectric
It would have been more helpful to both of us if you had stated that in the first place.
That's not a very helpful reply
It seemed appropriate to the "not helpful" rating which you awarded me for taking the time to answer your free question correctly.
ok point taken. Now you have the information have you any helpful suggestions or is this communication just a waste of time!!
Helpful suggestions: 1. You may have a loose/bad connection to the display module (or within it). 2. The LED display may have "died" and will need to be replaced. If you have a loose connection, you may find that tapping the display gently will make the clock display briefly. It is also a good idea to check the display with the room in total darkness - or as close as possible. You may find that the display is just too dim to be seen in normal light.
Following these simple checks, the oven will need to be pulled forward and access gained to the switch area for further investigation. If there is no evidence of a broken/loose connection and voltage/continuity testing reveals there is power to the display module, then the display module will need to be examined for damage / dry solder joints - then repaired or replaced. Removal/replacement of the display module requires some dis-assembly of the oven.
Self-repair of any electrical appliance can be dangerous and should only ever be attempted with the POWER OFF. Voltage/continuity testing requires a multi-meter and knowlege of how to use it safely. If you are not competent or confident with electrics or electrical safety, then you should consider seeking professional help.
ok. Had to go and lie down for a few days after absorbing all that. Think I'll get someone in to look at it. Thanks for all your help.
You're welcome - I hope you get it fixed. Unfortunately, this isn't a problem that can be resolved by simply pressing the buttons on the display module. For future reference, if you need assistance with a problem, please be sure to list as much detail about the problem as possible. Asking the correct question should ensure a correct answer. If you ask about "how to set the clock . . . ", then you will receive an answer on how to set the clock. Unfortunately,
"Psychic FixYa" is not yet up and running and biting the hand that feeds is unlikely to gain you futher assistance. Ratings are important to experts here and (despite my best efforts to help you) this will forever remain on my account as "Not Helpful". Happy New Year to you. Regards, BElectric
I am suitably chastized and if I had a wish it would be to go back and re - rate your help. Actually it would be better if it was possible to rate at the end of all the communication rather than the beginning as I would give a completely different answer now.
Happy New Year to you too.

Usually answered in minutes!
Have already tried that. It didn't work. Just have a blank screen
Hi there constable,
This is a clarification request. -
This solution was flagged for my attention because of the one thumb rating you felt it deserved. One Thumbs (a.k.a. IA's for InAppropriate) are rarely given. When they are, it is in response to profanity, total lack of knowledge or some other extreme. I follow up and advise whether further action is necessary.
-=- -=+
The clarification I request is in what way is any of his solutions inappropriate? From what I see, You asked - He answered the question as asked and did so correctly - you get short because he gave you what you asked for? Not what you wanted? - You down rate him. He then follows up and for his troubles he receives a sarcastic 'thank you' and no change to the rating.
-=-
If I missed something, please clarify. If not, I believe the IA is still applicable to this exchange, just not to its current recipient.
Regards
Mike
