I have a 3 gal. back sprayer. When you try to presureize the tank to spray, The pump seems to work but there is no pressure. If repairs are necessary, where in the Redding, Ca. area is a repair shop for your Solo sprayer. Thanks for your help.

Air leak in your holding vessel...

Air leak somewhere between the pump and the spray tip (s).
that will incllude the 25 gallon tank as a possible place to check for leaks!

Make sure the tank pressure release is shut, or make sure the rubber o-ring under the pump is there. You should feel back pressure after a few pumps.

Round up 1.33 Gal Spray can have a bad pump or a clogged filter or both.
Test pump: pump the handle, does it get harder to pump after 10-15 pumps, when you open the cap does air rush out? If yes, pump is good, if not, wear rubber gloves, remove pump/cap assembly, remove inner tube from cap, the handle\ pump plunger will remair with the cap. if the o ring is dry, wipe it clean, put a little petroleum jelly on the plunger o ring To Lubricate it and prevent o ring wear and helps it seal air tight so the pump will work correctly. reassemble handle\cap make sure the Black inner black plastic hose aligns with the white spray hose .
If your pump passed the pump test, lool inside tank at the chemical fluid clean or does the fluid look like it has lumpy white clumps in the fluid, if so, empty fluid in tank into a clean throw away container look at rinse the tank out with water, strain the clumps out with a paper towl draped over the tank opening inserted about 2 inches into tank opening then when you slowly pour the fluid back in hold both end of the paper towel so it does;nt fall in tank the clumps will remain on top of the paper towel , Then your ready to clean the filter in the cap. Remove the black plactic tube from the pump, remove the white out side hose(squeeze the black connector to unlock the white hose , Then look in the hole the the black tube was inserted into, look for clumps (looks like lint from a clothes dryer, about the size of cotton ball, ) in that hole, to clean the clogged filter,I used low pressure air from an air tank, Blown into the hole where the white discharge hose was mounted. The clog should fall out of the opposite hole where the black tubs mounts. Reassemble and test, Also, the white spray tip turns out to change from spray to stream. Wash Hands good the chemicals can soak into your skin, some people are very allergic to the fluid

I loss pressure, read the manual, took the slide out and saw that the o-ring was crimped out of shape, thus the loss of seal and no pressure! Popped it back to position and it spray is now powerful as day 1...patience is rewarded!

Most weed killers and fertilisers either crystalise or turn to gel when left unused. Pull sprayer wand to pieces and run hot water through the hose and wand, they especially clog up at the spray tip and at the on'off control.

These sprayers get rust in spray handle, they taking apart and lubing sprayer. If you leave chemicals in tank you will ruin the spray handle.

try removing the tip and cleaning it. there maybe something stuck in it even if its new. if that dont work i would take it back to where i bought it. hope that helps

Are tips clogged??

I have a 425 that I have had to remove the pressure cylinder. I found this on the internet one time, but can't find it again. Anyhow, this is how to remove the pressure cylinder on a Solo 425. Do all the disassembly instructions in the owners manual. Then get a short 2x4 or 2x2 and place it on top on the pressure cylinder through the opening on top of the tank. Then give it a good whack with a hammer. Don't be shy, that ****** is in there. It may take more than one whack. Once you have the cylinder out there is a screen on the cylinder that must be cleaned. To re-assemble, turn the sprayer upside down, insert the pressure cylinder, lay the 2x4 across the bottom of the cylinder and use even force (and hammer) to force the cylinder back in. Stop when you get to the O ring seat and you can do the rest by hand, being careful not to pinch the O ring. I have had Solo sprayers for many years and think they are great. But when it seems that when I leave glyphosate (Roundup) in the sprayer it clogs the screen. My hard water may contribute to the problem.
