Question about Yakima Skybox Pro Cargo Box

1 Answer

The top won't open. First one side began to stick on the left front ball latch and now the right side won't open at all. Is there a simple solution? Should I sand down the ball on the left side? Can i buy parts? How can I open the right side? Help!

When mine did the same thing, I just sprayed each mechanism with some spray lubricant to free it up, worked great. Same in the latches. WD-40 to the rescue.

The door cannot open

Try unplugging the machine for 15 minutes and then running it through the final spin again.
If this doesn't unlock the door, you probably have a bad lock, or faulty control board.

1. Unplug the washer and wait for 5-10 minutes. Safety first.
2. At the back of the machine on the top left and right sides there are 2 screws that hold the top plate in place. Remove them.
3. Once the screws are removed put your palms on the top of the washer and push the lid towards the back of the washer. The lid should slide back a bit then you should be able to lift it off. Put it aside for now.
4. You should now be able to see everything inside the washer. Look straight down from the top where the door is. On the latch side of the door you will see wires leading to the electronic release for the door. The manual release you're looking for sits at the very BOTTOM of the electronic assembly. Snake your hand down past the wires and and the bottom of the black box thing there is a single "stick with a ball at the end" pull that DOWN while you pull the washer door open.

How to replace the roller

  • Tray 1 Pickup Roller Replacement
  • Turn off the printer and unplug the unit. Remove the following doors: the DIMM cover, rear cover and top cover.
  • Open the door to the area housing the toner and remove the toner cartridge. Set it aside. Release the toner drive arm located at the right side of the toner door.
  • Locate and remove the screws at the front left and right corners on the top of the printer and the two screws at the right and left at the top of the back of the printer.
  • Locate the latch at the left side of the hinge for the toner door. Release this latch and then remove the door.
  • Pull out the old pickup roller and replace it with the new tray 1 pickup roller. Reassemble the printer.

My draining tube is plugged, I need to know how to open the top of the washer to clean the tube?

What helps me quite a bit is a simple plumbers hand-snake. Stick it in, turn, grabs gookus, pulls good out, and all is good. ..takes 5 minutes. Otherwise you'll have to release top clips with putty knife in between panel and top, one on right and one on left, lift, remove screws around pump cleanout panel, remove screws from inside side lips of front panel, pull top towards you, and down, and pull off bottom clips.

How to replace glove box latch The glove box latch is broken off and I can't get it open. I can get a new latch but don't know how to install it----am afraid I will break something. Help!

Remove the glove box: unscrew 3 screws inside the box (in a row towards the top) and 2 on the outside (one on the bottom right side- open the car door to access it, and one on the bottom left side). Grab the bottom of the box and pull it toward you. It will come off.

Once it's off, flip it over. There are 2 screws that hold the latch housing on the box (you'll find them in the 2 circles that are cut into the plastic). Unscrew them.

Next, flip it back over to the front and stick a small flat screwdriver between the latch housing and the glove box part that it's stuck into. Gently pull the latch and the whole thing should come out.

Pop the new one in, replace the screws, put your glove box back in your car, and you're good to go!

Oven door lock does not unlock, I turned on the self clean mode and then changed my mind and turn it back off about 3 minutes later. But it does not unlock. The lock light is blinking.

Thanks for using FixYa. There is an over-temperature switch built into the electrical panel of the oven. Resetting this switch might solve the issue.

To reset it: Turn off the power. Open the door (if door is locked, turn the power back on and gently try pulling the door every few seconds as the locking mechanism cycles until it is unlocked). Remove the 3 screws below the control panel (screws point upwards, with the head just inside the oven). Pull off the face of the control panel. Let it dangle by the wires so that you have access to the space behind it.

Within the electrical enclosure exposed by removing the control panel, look for a small silver and black device with 2 wires attached to the back. The device is about .5" wide by 1" long and is attached with 2 screws to the sheet metal on the bottom of the electrical enclosure.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

MFATXPNT ESX 500S GATEWAY model above. Want to open the case and install 2 more memory boards. How do I open this case? Ralph

On my model, there is a broad recessed area on the top of the case.

On the left-hand side of this area (as you face the front), there is a 3-inch-wide, grooved-surfaced latch that must be pressed inward (to your left) to free the left panel. If you are facing the left side of the unit, pressing this latch inward by grabbing the top of the panel as if you were going to pull it off by force naturally presses in the latch, opening the case.

If you're not seeing the latch, note that the top half of the front can be covered by a rotating cover that covers the drive bays. When it is not covering the front, this rotating cover flips up and around, coming to rest on the top of the unit in the broad recessed area.

When this cover is flipped up and stored at the top of the unit, the case latch is hidden and not pressable. Flip the cover back down so that it's covering the drives, and you're good to go.

How to rotate toner cartridges to replace K

Well on my 2430DL the release for the toner carousel is definitely not where komguy says it is. Open the top cover and on top of the printer case on the right hand side you will see a hole now exposed by opening the top cover. You think at first it is where the top cover latches into as it is more or less identically placed (but on the right) to where the top cover latch does latch into (on the left hand side).

Stick a pen or something into this hole and you will feel a some spring resistance - push down and the carousel will rotate until you can get access to each toner cartridge in turn.

Note that you can do this via the replace toner function on the LCD menu but for me I get the dreaded Err: Line 2474 error when I try to invoke the replace toner function and so I had to find a manual way of rotating the carousel.
