Hi, I want to install a DVD player I have been given on my Evo W4000 PC. Do I need to install a digital audio cable and does the W4000have a connection for one ? My current CD-ROM droive has a 4 wire analogue audio-out cable.

1st unplugging your monitor cable what u see pls reply

try installing the OS again. it should work for you well. And if still you have the same problem, then install the LCD monitor software if you have a LCD monitor.

This power supply is quote HP, "250 W Power Supply (PFC)". Almost any power supply will provide that much power. The problem is in a mini tower, the shape has to be matched and that limits you generally to the manufactures PS. Give a try to update BIOS. Click here and follow the intrsuction

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette and place it in your A: drive.
   
2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file that is downloaded is an executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
   
3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to build the ROMPaq diskette.
   
4. Place the newly created diskette in the A: drive of the computer to be upgraded or restored and cycle system power to boot from the ROMPaq diskette.
   
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to select the Compaq System ROM and flash the firmware. WARNING: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR ATTEMPT TO REBOOT THE COMPUTER DURING THE UPGRADE PROCESS!!!

hi have u tried uninstaling windows media player
and then reistaling it that will fix your problem

its mean u have no vedio driver in ur laptop,every laptop have driver of audio and vedio for its seprate operating system, like vista and xp.

first of all install vedio driver for ur laptop, ur laptop have any graphics card, then install its drivers.you can see graphics driver name and series on ur laptop cartoon box.

you may install other dvd player to run ur cd, like kmp player or vlc media player looke on www.filehippo.com for players. for drivers..

for graphics driver-- http://driversdownloadsfree.com/tag/nvidia-ge-force-go-6150-driver-for-windows-xp open that site, type ur graphics card detail with, xp or vista., in serch box, and download it, and install.

I believe it's pc133 sdram for the evo w4000 shown above. You can either try going through the manufacturer's website or just some google searches to see the computer's specs.
