You don't. The system date and time is either taken from CID information transmitted each day, or it is programmed from the first phone in the system (ext 101). Then, to change the phone display, you press * on an idle phone until the date and time appear.

Programming

The individual phone only shows the time that is stored in your phone system. Time change should have been programmed to your PBX. If you have caller ID, call one of the phone numbers in the system and see if caller ID updates the time on the system. On the individual extension, hit the info button several times to get a "refresh" of the time/date.

One station just reads 101, does not read the time or date as I'd like it to. How do I program that to read the time and date?

Without doing anything else, press the * button one or 2 times until what you want shows up on the display. Depending on the system, it toggles between extension, time and day, and date.

Panasonic KX-T773 reads "102:" instead of date/time

Your extension reads 102 because that is the extension #.
Press either the tranfer key or the " * " star key and your display will change to time and date or just the date.

Changing date on Panasonic KX-T7731

If it is displaying "101:" that is your extension. You can press the * key (with phone on the hook) to scroll your display through date and time formats and to display your extension.

When it says "PITS-PGM NO" you will need to press one of the buttons on the numerical key pad to choose a function to change.

Hope this helps!

Programe my phone KX-T7730

The phone you have (KX-T7730) requires a phone system to operate. This phone can be installed on a few different Panasonic phone systems. You need a "programming" manual for the phone system to do what you want (not a user guide) so you will first need to determine which system you have. Look for a part number on the system itself, it should start with "KXT" just like the phone.

How do I set the time and date?

You must be on the main phone on jack 01 to set time. You can determine if your phone is jack 01 by pressing PROGRAM and then pushing the number 6 on the dial pad. Enter month (01-12) 5. Enter day (01-31) 6. Enter day of week (Sun 0, Mon 1, Tue 2, Wed 3, Thu 4, Fri 5, Sat 6.) 7. Enter Hour (01-12) 8. Enter Minute (00-59) 9. Press 0 for AM 1 for PM 10. Press "AUTO DIAL/STORE" key 11. Push PROGRAM key to return to normal mode.
