Hi there

When we say your computer is showing local intranet but not the internet then it must be an issue with some of the settings and could also be firewall settings. Lets try these steps to check whats going on.

First i'd say please go to command prompt (START -> RUN -> CMD)
Type IPCONFIG and check for the IP ADDRESS and DEFAULT GATEWAY.
(Normally the IP ADDRESS starts 192.168.xx.xx)
Then PING the Default gateway by entering the Default Gateway( Command for pinging the default gateway is PING "default gateway number")
Check whats the reply you are getting and it should say Packet Sent=4, Received =4 and Lost =0.

Then type ping www.google.com and check whether you gets the same reply Packet Sent=4, Received =4 and Lost =0.

If you gets all these positive then there is no problem with your network. We have to check for the internet explorer settings. First you check with this settings and revert with details. So that i ould be able to assist you better.

Using Internet Explorer? Then you'll need to add FaceBook to your trusted site list. Internet Explorer assigns all websites to one of four security zones: Internet, Local intranet, Trusted sites, or Restricted sites.
  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Navigate to FaceBook.comClick the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Security tab, and then click a security zone (Local intranet, Trusted sites, or Restricted sites).
  4. Click Sites.
  5. If you clicked Local intranet in step 4, click Advanced.
  6. The website should be shown in the Add this website to the zone field. Click Add. If the site is not a secure site (HTTPS), clear the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone check box.
  7. Click Close, and then click OK

How can i solve error 130 at webfreer?

It seems your system is configured to use a proxy when on the internet or intranet. Go and remove the proxy when you want to connect to the net from home internet setup:
Change proxy settings > LAN Settings and uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN. Close all the browser sessions and open a new one.

In Yahoo messanger, I can see what I type in my writting message box, but when I hit the send, in the top box nothing is seen

Some virus can cause this bug in Yahoo Messenger. Check your Internet Options, go to Security Tab, and see if there is a new item. Normal items there are Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted sites, and Restricted sites. If you see a new item, chances are you were hit by a virus.

To resolve this, open a registry editor (click Start, click Run. On the Open box, type: regedit and then press Enter). Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft\ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Internet Settings \ Zones

There should only be 5 items there, numbered 0 to 4. If you see a different one, especially if you see items that shows up as box, try deleting it. (Backup your registry first). If you were able to delete that extra item, this might fix the bug, and you will be able to see the chat messages again in yahoo messenger.

Laptop shows wireless signal is available. DSL cable, all lights burn green on the router. Can access google, when I try to access a web address, the page will not load

in explorer > < tools > < internet options> <delete> all your temparary internet files.
now try accessing google.

On the router the only lights should be blinking are the connected ports Wan to the WWW the conneccted Lan ports to the intranet.
Powercycle the router and the reset button on the back.

Try a direct wire and see if the access to the net works.

Reconfigure the WIFI of the router by the instruction book
