I have Jamo E8sub need to be fixed. The power LED is not on, it was RED at one time (Did not turned Green), but not anymore. I checked the DC voltage on main IC (LM3886) no power on Pin # 1 and 5. Both mosfet has no drain voltage. The Gate voltage is as equal as the saurce voltage. Both Mosfets are fine. I was wondering if I should replace the main board? How much it cost? Any sujestion? Please let me know.

Hi,
the ic lm3886 should have voltage at its pin 1 and 5 , because it is the vdd supply pin of that ic. trace out, to where the track goes from pin 1and 5. it should go to the power supply or to any switching circuit. may be problem with its power supply side . any one of the voltage is missing. check the voltage regulators if there. check the power supply side i think complaint lies there. no need to replace the main board . from ur narration i think u have knowledge in electronics. make one more try to solve the problem.

You cannot tell if capacitors are bad just by looking at them. they need to have a meter called an ESR meter to test them, I can tell you with almost certainty that it is a capacitor in the power supply that has failed. Try this again. and fix it.b) LUBE the gear motor, shaft and turn the POT a little and see if the motor get RPM.

  2. Insert a pencil (eraser end), into the hole and feel around for the cal button (will click when pressed).

  3. Press the button 2 times (with the pencil eraser). The first click should show CL11 in the console, the second click should show CL21.

  4. If the process was done correctly, and CL21 appears in the console, you are in "calibration mode." The next few steps consists of pressing buttons on the console and observing settings. This will not require any other tools.

  5. Press ENTER. CL22 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.

  6. Press ENTER. CL23 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.

  7. Press ENTER. CL24 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.

  8. Press ENTER. CL25 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.

  9. Press ENTER. CL26 should display in the TIME window. You should then see the letter "E."

  10. Press ENTER. You should see "SS" or "55" in the console.

  11. Push the STOP/START button. For safety, at this point, you should step off, or be off, the treadmill.

  12. Push the ENTER button. The walking belt should start to move, accelerate to maximum speed, then stop on its own.

  13. When the belt stops, the incline should self test by raising to its highest incline position, then lowering back down to its lowest position.

  14. Once the incline test is complete, push the POWER button 2 times. The unit should shut off and the console should go completely blank. If this happens, the treadmill is done calibrating and is ready for use.

  15. If the letter "F" appears in the SPEED or INCLINE window when the power button is pressed 2 times, the treadmill is indicating a failure somewhere either in the SPEED or INCLINE (depending on the window the "F" appeared in).

Step 3:

please lube the elevation motor, shaft, and gear, and adjust the POT for RPM, and see what happen. see the diagram + block diagram attached for troubleshooting and fix it.

The orange charge light comes on but when I press to start computor nothing happens no green light, the orange light flickers a few times.....I have taken out hard drive and batteries afew time but nothing...

Charger faulty or Motherboard problem.
You can check the power supply of the charger by measuring the DC voltage at the DC jack with a multimeter set to DC volts (red probe on the inner of the jack, black probe on the outer of the jack, should measure 18-20 volts.

Also check the security of the jack in the DC port, make sure it is not loose

See if the Ac adaptor has a green led on it, flashing LED indicates power not being "used " by the laptop

Gut instinct with this being a compaq is that the fault lies in the motherboard

First Hello. Before few days,when I turn on my PC(but I was unpluged my machine from electricity) and on monitor displays CMOS wrong set date/time,cpu frequensy.I hit BIOS set up sittings and Windows xp...

Replacing the bios battery was the correct thing to do. Answer me this. The Asus motherboard should have a green LED light lit (Standby power LED), when the system is turned off. Also keep the power cord for the power supply connected at all times. Though it is possible the replacment bios battery was all ready low on voltage or dead. When you're system is turned off the power supply continues to send 5volt DC to the motherboard which maintains the bios 3volt DC.
If the green LED is not lit than there is no power charging the bios battery and every time you boot the system the bios will have lost its settings. If the green LED is red in color, than the problem is within the standby switch built into the motherboard. The standby circuit can not be repaired. Double check all power connectors from the power supply to the motherboard. If everything has a good connection and you're bios settings continue to reset you should consider replacing the motherboard. At this point you have nothing to loose. Install the latest bios update,
(Beta Version 1010.005). 2006/02/14 update.

Help w/ the flashing green light

Good Day;

Cause #1 1. Red status LED, self-diagnosis error 44, check for open F9A06 on the Power PCB part # 283P128050 on the Power PCB 2. Red lamp LED, self diagnosis error 34. Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if missing replace the Power PCB part # 930B921002 3. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature, this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds 4. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Check for 3.2 volts DC at connector LE pin 3 and 4 on the Control PCB, if low suspect problems with the switches/buttons on the Control PCB part # 935D776001 5. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Keyboard is not locked and key inputs at connector LE pin 3 and 4 check good. Suspect the E2P PCB part # 934C121001 6. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) Disconnect the USB connector from the card reader to the front from the Chassis, if the LED stops blinking after 70 seconds replace the Card Reader part # 299P271010. 7. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) Disconnecting the USB connector from the Card Reader did not help. Remove connector FC from the FMT PCB and plug the unit in, if the LED stops blinking after 70 seconds with FC removed suspect a problem on the FMT PCB (part # 930B924002), if the LED keeps blinking with connector FC removed suspect a problem on the DM PCB (part # 934C116002). 8. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) On the DM PCB (part # 934C116002) check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 UFD, 16V, 105C), if any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C). See Service Tip VS-78A 9. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) On the FMT PCB (part # 930B924002) check C8F19, C8F21, C8F22, and C8F27 (16V 1000 UFD 105C), if any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C). TV turns off aftering powering up. red LED flashes 3 times.

3 red blinks means th lamp door in not on. if you have installed the lamp door corectly and it still does this solder all three pins together on the door switch.
