hi, For switching off the closed caption option do the following.
1. Press CC on the remote. • This will present the Closed Caption information display.
2. Press CC while the Closed Caption information is still on the screen. • Press repeatedly until you select the desired closed caption service as OFF. ok
I am unaware of the particular method of doing this. I am only aware of the procedure using the remote. At this point your only option is to purchase a universal remote with Menu capability. These are generally available at many locations for between $5-$10.
Does your screen light up or picture comes before it turns off? This could be from your X-ray protection feature, you will have to check the power supply output voltages.
