BEFORE YOU BEGIN
-Remove and discard the "Try Me" pull-tab, located on
Mickey's right foot next to the battery compartment.
Once the TRY ME pull tab is removed, the toy will
perform its full play pattern as described below.
-Be sure the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position.
The ON/OFF switch is also located on Mickey's right foot,
next to the battery compartment.
HOW TO PLAY
There are 2 places where you can press Mickey to begin play:
-LEFT HAND
-LEFT FOOT
Press either place to begin play.
There are 2 ways to play with Dance Star Mickey:
DANCE MODE
Press Mickey's foot to see him perform
one of 6 different dances!
-TECHNO
-MAMBO
-MOONDANCE
-"SHAKE YOUR GROOVE THING"
-"GET UP OFFA THAT THING"
-"M" TO THE "I"
GAME MODE
Press Mickey's hand to alternate between 2 games:
-Mickey says
Follow along and repeat Mickey's moves -
but only when he says "Mickey says!"
-Freeze dance
Dance to the beat when Mickey says "Go".
When he says "Stop", you freeze in place!
I just fixed this problem in my son's Mickey. It was showing the typical symptoms of being stuck in demo mode in spite of removing the demo tab and replacing the batteries.
There is a wire loose in the right foot that causes Mickey to become stuck in demo mode. If you disassemble the right foot, inspect for broken electrical connections and re-solder any wires that have become loose as a result of the motion, Mickey dances and sings like new again.
