Hi, I have a Funai vhs dvd combo recorder model drv-b2737 and would like to know how I can set this up with my flat screen tv and what cables would I need to accomplish this. Thank you

This has no HDMI socket so you have a choice of either SCART or SVHS depending on what your TV has. If the TV users HDMI you might want to consider a SCART to HDMI adapter lead.

Plug the SCART to TV in the bottom SCART not the top one!
If you just want a SCART to SCART make certain you get the highest quality ones you can find.
There is an OPTICAL output for the high quality sound. You can connect this via an OPTICAL lead to either a Surround Sound unit if you have one or direct to the TV. Again if it has an OPITICAL lead.
If using make certain the output it is switched on at both ends. You will see a red light if the TV is outputting it, with it unconnected to the VCR.

How to connect Sky digibox & DVD recorder to Samsung UE46ES6300 TV

Buy 2 hdmi leads and use one to connect sky TV decoder to the hdmi 1 socket on the back of the TV and if your DVd recorder has an hdmi socket attach it to hdmi 2 or leave it on the scart socket
as you don't name your dvd recorder the connections available are unknown
hdmi is the best followed by component which requires a 3 cable lead 3 video (video is red green blue plugs ) audio is red and white which is a 2 wire lead which all are needed to get video and audio to your TV
scart is the lowest quality along with composite video

Toshiba sd-v295 tunerless DVD VCR Combo To Sony Digital TV Instructions

It will depend on if the Toshiba has an HDMI socket. If it has then the Sony TV will almost certanily have one. Then all you need do is get a HDMI lead and connect the two. The only other way would be via a SCART lead. If the TV has only one SCART and it's being used you can get a SCART Switching Box from places such as Amazon, where you will also get the other cables.

What is the TV channel set to to play a dvds151 dvd player?

almost all Dvd players are connected to a television by either a scart or a HDMI lead.

When you plug the scart into the back of your television (make sure its in properly) then turn the power on. on your dvd player.

This should automatically come on as scart leads send a voltage up the scart telling the tv to change to that source/av.

If it is connected via a HDMI cable then if you look at the back of your telly it will tell you what HDMI input number it is. then all you have to do is press the AV/ SOURCE button on your remote to select that number.

Hope this Helps

Hdmi

The HDMI lead only carries the video and audio from the HTS6510/05 to the TV.

The scart carries audio and video both ways.

Re-connect the scart lead and all will be ok.

N.B. When the HTS6510 is switched on, the TV will auto-switch to the scart input. You will then need to switch the TV to HDMI to get the benefit from the DVD upscaling.

Watching digital tv using a Panasonic DMR-EZ47VEB

PLEASE NOTE THIS INFORMATION COVERS PROBLEMS FOR ALL DEVICES CONNECTED UP BY STUPID scart LEADS. I HOPE IT HELPS EVERYONE.

This is a common problem, the problem is caused by the fact your device is connected to the TV via a scart lead. The way it works is this: If you press the AV button on your TV remote your TV will turn over to the first scart channel. If you actively do something on the device connected via scart in this case the dvd player, (this includes things like playing a DVD or Video, or going into a menu), the device sends a signal down pin 8 of the scart lead and turns the TV over automatically to the AV channel, BUT as soon as you come out of the menu or stop the DVD/Video the signal stops and the TV will revert back to the channel it was on.
So you have 3 choices......maybe 4...
1. press the AV button on your TV remote directly.
2. Buy yourself and HDMI lead IF your TV supports it (note: you will have to select the HDMI channel on your TV remote because the auto thing is only on scart leads).
3. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU HAVE A SPARE LEAD look up a diagram of a scart lead on Google so you can find pin 8 and cut it out with a pair of wire cutters. YOU will have to still press the AV button on your TV remote to go to the channel though,
4. Connect your TV and DVD with an aerial lead and tune channel 6 on your TV into the DVD player. ps then disconnect the scart lead.
(Go for choice number one!)
