Verizon Wireless EN V LG needs help

My port to plug in my charger is broken. I took apart the phone and it just fell out. The wires or whatever are not attached to the port anymore. They broke apart. Let me know what you think.

My metal connector pulled out with the charging plug. Any chance you can tell me where to get the part and what it is called? I am very glad to pay for your time if you can help me. Steven Lee ([email protected])

For all you people that have an lg env andthe charger port fell out this is what i did. i took the actual charger (the cord) and cut the piece that plugs into the phone. then i stripped the wires. now take the wires and touch them to the terminals inside the phone. red wire on the left black on the right. now here is the tricky part. put the battery in the phone with the wires still in there. tape the battery on so it doesnt fall out. now turn on the phone if it says use genuine battery powering down in ten seconds you did it right. this is no guarantee but its easier than tearing the damn phone apart

My env2 wont charge. whenever i plug it in, the battery stays the same. what do i do?

This seems to be a common problem for the env2. If you hold your charger a certain way in the phone does it charger? Is the charger port broken or damaged?

If so the easiest workaround is to get an external battery charger and extra battery to charge the phone.

Check out the following link for information on the battery charger and other options for the env2 charge issue.

Cannot charge LG EnV2 VX91000 phone

The issue is the charger port on the ENV2 breaks fairly easily.Thefirst step is to contact your carrier to see if it is coveredunderwarranty. If it is, great get it replaced.

If not, you have 3 options:

1. you can get the charging port repaired. The cost is about 50 dollars. I recommend Cellulardr.com

2. you can get a new phone. cost ???

3.You can get an external battery charger to charger the batteryseparatefrom phone. cost about 25 dollars. Check out the following linkforones that are available on ebay. A extra battery is a good idea aswell so you can have one charging at all times.

My daughter's LG EnV charging port

You can get a charger at factorydirectcellular.com. The link is
http://www.factorydirectcellular.com/home/universal/universal-battery-only-charger.htm

The charger charges the battery independent of the phone. It is the only one I have found and it works GREAT. I had a couple issues at first but the rep, Matt, bent over backwards to resolve them. I would recommend this charger and company to anybody. The charger is a universal charger and will charge other cell phone batteries as well. The only con is that it does take a little longer to charge than using the port.

Won't Charge- Is there anything I can do?

well i dont have any long term ansa but here is a short term one while you find a new charger.

Take the charger and dismantle the end that plugs into fone. you should have 2 wires a black & white or black & red. Leave the blobs of solder on the end of the wires as this helps. Leave the wall socket end of charger in tact.

Take your battery out of fone. As with a normal battery you will see a (+) and (-) sign on it. Attach the black or darkest wire to the negative (-) metal square on the battery and the white or lightest wire (maybe red) to the positive (+) metal square on the battery (after trial & error i found a clothes peg to be the best form of attaching it). Leave attached for 15 minutes and this will give you around an hours usage when you put the battery back in the fone. If you leave it overnight then it will be on all day.

Basically you are making the circuit without the fone which bypasses your pin problem. Any charger will work with any fone as the charging components are in the wall end. Just make sure the voltage is compatible ie, 5v fone charger replacing 5v charger etc. Although majority of chargers are 5v.

I know this works cos i did it to mine last nite as i needed to ansa my emails. Really simple but a little drastic like i said but if the pin connector is broke anyway wot you got to lose?? I am a girl so if i can do it anyone can lol!!

Only drawback is you cant use the fone while it is charging unless you have 2 batteries and you use one while the other charges which is what i am doing. In fact i might not buy a new charger lol, i dont need one now ive found this method works.

Happy charging!! Hope this helps! Gail-michelle

Broken charger port

i have the same problem with my enV my friend stripped the wires to my charger at the part where you plug it into the phone so now to charge my phone i tape the red wire to the positive on the battery and the black wire to the negitive there will be a shiny metal goldish color thing (there like 4 lil gold bars) on your battery that looks like this --> (negative) | | | | (positive) | - | | | + | tape the wires on the outside were the symbols are - and + and try not to let it toch the middle bars on the battery or it wont work and dont cover the little bars up with tape put the battery back in the phone making sure the wires dont move to much and it should charge sometimes you got tape the battery onto the phone to make sure it doesnt pop out but its what i do and it saves you money on having to go buy a whole new one or if you know someone with the same phone give them your battery to charge it :)
