Dear sir i have sony laptop pcg-81114l when i turned on my laptop there is no display on laptop screen or external monitor i have been testing ram lcd and processor these things are ok but no display plz if u have some suggestions or tips.and another thing is that when i on my laptop the fan speed will fast after sometime and heat sink is more heatup. plz send me the solution

Sounds like bad/wrong RAM ...

Does is send a simple audible bleep code ?

What happens if you re-instal the old RAM ?

Try Unknown Device Identifier from download.com it can help you find the manufacture and model of each missing driver you need so you can possibly find them..... makes life alot easier

There are a couple of things that can be causing this, For starters it may just be as simple as unplugging the screen from the motherboard and plugging it back in. the other one would be to replace the screen you can find several screens online for this laptop. You may want to test to make sure it is the screen and not the laptop its self. To test it you will need an external monitor and then attach it to the VGA/DVI/HDMI port on the laptop and then turn the laptop off and then back on again, right after you press the power button to turn it on close the lid this will force the laptop to send video to the external monitor.


If you can see the screen then all you will need to do is replace the screen, If you get NO picture on the external monitor you may want to take it to a computer shop. More than likely if don't get a picture on an external monitor then the issue is the motherboard/ram stick.

If the invertor was faulty you would get a picture on the external monitor, assuming that the external monitor and the laptop was configured to work. Check the Fn key and F5 at the same time. That should switch between internal/ external or both displays.

When you restart it pres F8 while it reboots and see if anything comes up...If that dont wrk try pressing the appropriate key to get into the bios and check to see if video was disabled.

Sounds like you have some internal issues going on with this Laptop! If you are getting the same response when you connect an external monitor, then you more than likely have a few things going on here: A bad VGA port for starters, Issues with the Data card, and your graphic card is cetainly not helping. In addition you may want to check appropriate drivers as they are sometimes updated! But my best guess is that you are having issues internally! That could be costly! Sorry!
