I have a behringer EP1500 amp, connected to a behringer mixer VMX100. i am getting a popping sound, the sound is random, it happens at various times, so i cannot say it always happens after i have performed a certain action. i connected the amp/mixer to my pc, then my laptop, happens with both devices, so guesing it is not the pc / sound card. what do i try next? tx

Hi,
check the power outlet socket to which the amp and mixer is connected. if there is any loose contact in that power socket, this problem can occur. try to use a good surge protector with emi filter for connecting the amp and mixer.
ok

Behringer EP1500 amp does not produce full loudnes

Hi,

Please test the loudness of your device with a third-party decibel meter. This will give you a clear measure of whether the loudness of your device is changing with increase in volume. It could be that your surroundings are absorbing the increased sound.

Thank you.

How to wire up outboard effects, poweramps to mixer. Out to sub, mains, monitors each with own poweramp, and several outboard effects, eq's, comp/lim/gate, sonic maximizer, quadraverb, crossover.

I'd need to know what mixer you have, to know if there is a [line out] connection socket and an [internal amp in] connection socket.

"each with own poweramp" I presume means the ep1500's and NOT that the speakers are active (ie containing amps)

***If any of your speakers are active, ask the question again, with more detail.***

So if all your speakers are passive, I offer the following.

I assume there is [effect send] and [effect return] on the mixer

effect send>quadraverb>effect return

mixer line out > eq > compressor > sonic maximizer > crossover

sub output of crossover> amp > sub
high output of crossover to mixer's internal amp input
mixer's speaker output > main speakers

monitor output > other side of eq (>other side of compressor if desired, but use sparingly ) > other side of sonic max if it is true stereo , otherwise skip > amp > monitors

If your mixer doesn't have an input to its internal amp, we are "back to the drawing board"
With questions like this it pays to give as much detail as possible; model and make of each component etc
I have done my best with the the info you have provided.
Don't feed amp outputs into powered speakers

No sound from amp. Turns on, but seems to be clipping out and is popping. Any troubleshooting advice?

check the connector where your instrument cable comes in. Make sure you are getting a good connection. Unfortunately, there is likely a bigger problem.

Line/Phono switch? Cant find them

Look on the switch for a brand name... often they use a lot of ALPS products. I normally search DigiKey.com and Mouser.com, and Allied electronics and Newark.com.

Behringer online is of little help. I have called them and got parts directely. They don't stock a lot and sometimes it takes a little while to get the product.

Behringer ep1500 versus behringer eurolive b215 X 2- pa speakers.

The Amplifier will have wierd, notched, circular speakon cable connectors on the back, two, one for main left and one for main right. Press the button in on your speakon cable connector and twist it and lock it into place on the amplifer for right and left attachments, then do the same to your speakers.

Hopefully this helps.

Connecting a behringer djx700 mixer to a panasonic amp

The problem is most likely between the turntable and mixer. You need to be sure that the turntable is connected to a phono input. I'm not sure if your mixer has one. If not, you need to have a phono pre-amp between the turntable and the line input on the mixer.

Check that first and get back to us if you still have problems/questions.

Connecting a guitar amp to a mixer amp

Hi cliff

Connect either of the XLR DI output of the Behringer directly to a MIC IN channel on the Powerpod using a standard Microphone cable. If you wish to push a stereo sound then connect both(L + R) of the XLR DI outputs from the amp... that's about all you need to do. The only reason you need to use stereo(both XLR Outs) from the Behringer is if you want a full stereo FX output from the amp, otherwise you can get away with 1 connected. You may need to back the gain off for those channels on the power pod. You can get a manual for the Powerpod from here

and user manual for the acx900 here

Hope this has helped you, If not, feel free to ask any questions. Cheers.

robotek
