Go to http://servicenet.deltaportercable.com/

On the left hand side, you'll see a search box where you can enter your model number.

On Delta ' Porter-Cable tools, the model number and type number are usually on the warning label or name plate.

  • These labels are typically found on the bottom or side of the tool.
  • For larger equipment, the label can be found on the top of the equipment.
  • Sometimes the type number is reflected at the end of the model number. The type number can be followed by a " - " or a "T" at the end of the model number. For example: "HFAC3030-1", is a Type 1. "36-450 T2", is a Type 2

Got caught in the rain

The saw is probably OK but the battery is toast. Cordless batteries absolutely do not like to get wet. None of the manufacturers will warranty a battery that got wet. Sorry. Buy a new battery.

Need a power cord for a porter-cable circular saw model 146

All of Porter-Cable's circular saws have model numbers starting with a 3. Assuming your saw is a 346, Porter-Cable's part number for that cord is 330079-98. If your model number isn't 346 or you can't get that part number, most any nine to twelve foot 14-2 power cord will work on your saw.

Need to replace the cord. Before I open it up, wanted to verify that it has serveceable connectors inside?

generally they have ring terminals on the switch or the wires need to be soldered to be pushed into and lock into the switch. ON some rare occasions I have seen wire nuts, so you should be OKAY just make yourself a wiring diagram before removing anything, it makes reassembly easier.

I have a Porter Cable 345 6" saw "3" series. Do I need to oil this baby?

unless it has a gearbox with a plug, no. the bearing are sealed. where the saw breaks down the middle, the metal part from the plastic part, there is grease in that gear compartment.
