Place the end of the roll just past the wire heating element into the sealer and press and hold the lid closed until the cycle finishes. (I usually do this twice in a slightly different place). Remove the roll and cut the plastic back far enough into the roll for the bag you are going to fill. Leave enough space to seal the bag after you have filled it. Seal the filled bag according to the instructions.

How do I fold up a tent?

Fold it in half twice. Then roll up like a Swiss cake roll. Most tents have to be rolled up in order to fit back in the bag. Place steaks and any poles in after tent is in bag

V3840 heat strip doesn't get hot

Could be the heating element (wire that gets hot enough to melt plastic) is going bad, how long have you been sealing bags with the unit? If you have used it for some time there is the possibility of build up plastic/residue on the the wire or the surface that actually comes in contact with the bag as I would suspect there is a coated surface the element heats up as opposed to the element / wire coming in contact with the plastic itself!

How to fix squeaking and bag full sign lit on the sebo x4 extra upright vacuum?

Check the main "kitchen roll" filter isn't clogged which is on the left hand side of the bag when the bin door is opened. There could be a clog, either behind the pick out metal grid below the filter roll, or the roll filter requires to be replaced. Can you add more info about the squeaking though? Is it a high pitched squeal all of the time or just intermittent and where it seems to be coming from - it could be excess air escaping from a pierced hose or a drive belt issue.

My sleeping bag is really difficult to roll up. Any ideas?

So don't. I almost never do.

More and more folks simply stuff the bag into the "stuff sack" that comes with the bag. You start with the bottom of the sleeping bag and push it to the bottom of the sack, then keep pushing more in. Compress until completed. This saves the trouble of rolling tightly, and also randomizes which parts are most tightly compacted, so you don't compress the filling in the same spots over and over.

When you get home, store the bag loosely in a large box or very large bag so that it can stay fluffed up. (You do hang your bag on the clothes line or tumble it in the dryer when you get home, don't you?)

BTW: I have seen others with this query. What is "difficult" about folding it along its length until it is the size you want, and rolling it from one end?

How do i roll up mummy bag

Best to just stuff it into the stuff sack, rather than roll it. If you want to close it up during the day, just fold it up loosely over itself.

I absolutely dread rolling up my sleeping bag. Can someone please help me? Maybe some tips on how best to accomplish this task? I always end up frustrated and giving up.

I found you a great guide that should be helpful - it is an 8-step how-to guide on rolling up sleeping bags. Good luck!

And if you are more of a visual learner, I also found a great video tutorial - I know how frustrating it can be sometimes, I sympathize with you.

I purchased a Seal-A-Meal roll to make my own bags but can't figure out how to use it. I have a model VS108. Is it possible to seal without vacuuming?

On most models of vacuum sealing systems, you cut off the roll the size of bag you need. Slip one open end of the bag just on top of the heating element over it about 1/8-1/4" and press down the lid to seal the bottom of the bag. Fill the bag and then place the open end far enough into the vacuum cavity over the heating element and close the lid and press down and hold until the cycle finishes. If you don't want a vacuum, just put enough bag material to cover the heating element but not into the vacuum cavity. Hope this helps

Brush is not rotating.

Turn the vac over, remove the access plate, covering the brush roll, 2 to 4 screws. Brush roll part number is 2032032if you need it, belt is a Bissell Style 7. While you have the brush roll off, check in dirt inlet to see if it is clogged, also check the hose to see if it is clogged. You won't feel suction at the bag tube, it has to have a bag on it and the lid closed before it will create suction.
