My Kodak EasyShare C813 camera no longer powers on. Replaced the batteries. Double-checked the connections inside and appear to be fine. Any suggestions to further troubleshoot? Thank you, Green Bay

Have you tried changing the brand of battery? I find mine is incredibly finicky about what make of battery it will accept, especially as it gets older and the contacts on the battery-door lose their springiness. It's to do with the shape of the contact on the minus end of the battery. It will work with B&Q batteries because they have a wide, flat, slightly raised metal cap on the minus end, but it won't work with e.g. Eveready because their minus end doesn't stand up as high and has grooves running round it, which cause the battery-door contact not to - not to make contact, that is.

Even if you're using a classy rechargeable battery, if the minus end doesn't stick up a bit it may not work once the battery door's got a bit worn.

My kodak easyshare c813 camera wont transfer pictures to my windows 7 computer. it always worked fine on xp.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.

My kodak easyshare C813 wont tern on i havent used it for a wile help

Are the batteries charged? If no replace. Were batteries left inside while the phone was left idle? Try and scrape the terminals. Try switching it on if it'll work.

You may download Kodak software from here.

Kodak easyshare C813 screen

Hi, are you having issue on camera LCD screen that it will not show anything on the screen? Kodak Easyshare C813 has no feature to turn the LCD screen Off only Kodak Easyshare Z series and some M series that has a view finder that you can switch the LCD screen off and just use the view finder to save battery power.

You can refer to Kodak Easyshare Manual check this site http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/publications/index.jhtml?pq-path=1398#otherDigitalCameras

Zoom wont work

double-check the battery first, as zoom needs more power.

if battery is ok then there is possibility of loose connection/ dry solder inside or some component gone faulty.
contact your vendor or kodak support if still in warranty.
