Samsung SC-L810 Camcorder Logo
Posted on Dec 28, 2010

OUr Samsung SCL 810 Hi-8 Camcorder is flashing Lemg-Eject in yellow, but won't eject a tape. We know it is old, but we're trying to transfer all the tapes to other media so we won't lose them and now the camcorder doesn't work. Any suggestions? The manual says it is a mechanical problem and needs to be repaired by a technician. Is that right?

I had a similar problem with a Cannon Optura PI and had to send it in. It was better, but I still have problems on occasion. If your intent is to transfer all the tapes to media, I would suggest purchasing Toshiba's DVD Video Recorder/Video Cassette Recorder. Model: DVR620KU. I use a VHS-C Cassette Adapter to play my VHS-C tapes in and the dubbed them to a DVD. Works great. Unfortunately, there is no 8mm/VHS Adapters, since 8mm, Hi8, miniDV are different formats with different technical characteristics than VHS. These formats were never developed with the intention to be mechanically compatible with past or current VHS technology. Your best bet would to borrow a HI-8 Camcorder and then dub your tapes to DVD's using the Toshiba machine. Here is a link to the Toshiba machine. http://www.testfreaks.com/dvd-players-recorders/toshiba-dvr620/
Good luck

CCD-TRV32 won't eject tape

Its better if you get it serviced by an authorized service center,If its not in warranty then try for any local mechanic. If you try to manually open it there is a very possible chance of any kind of damage.

I have a Sony CCD-FX410 8mm camcorder. It is in excellent condition. I was going to transfer all my 8mm tapes to DVD and decided I should get a head cleaner for it. Found one at BestBuy, put it in and it...

This is my 3rd try to get a solution. I have a Sony 8mm camcorder, CCD-FX410 and a head cleaning tape is stuck in it and I can't get it out. This camera is in EXCELLENT condition. I tried going to Sony's website and they no longer offer service on it. Both of the other people who answered this told me to turn power off, unplug cord, turn on to VTR and wait 15 seconds, then plug cord in again. It didn't work. After I put the head cleaner in, it wouldn't play and kept trying to eject. Finally it just started beeping and flashing an icon in the viewfinder. Manual says to send for repair. Any ideas on what I can do? Can not get tape ejected. Thank you.

Hi,
I know CCD-FX410 camcorder was launched in July 1992 and I also know what is the reason of problem in your camcorder and I'm afraid it can not be solved because its an old piece now. Parts are no longer available and problem is leaky electrolytic capacitors on its circuit boards. Time factor is involve here, it is not operational mistake.
I can help you out to eject stuck head cleaner tape in camcorder. If you are looking to bring it back in business then it is not possible because an experienced camera tech can repair it and will charge you more then camcorder worth.

Hit "add a comment" button to assist you in ejecting tape. You need to apart camcorder and should have 4 or 6 volt DC supply in hand.
Thanks.

The no tape and eject symbols are flashing at the same time.

Those signs means Record tab on tape is ON, eject tape and check record tab and make sure to set it on Record position.

Eject light comes on after I start playing the tape

ksmitheram,

I had the same problem with my camcorder just awhile ago. This can reflect a low battery. Try plugging in the camcorder for a couple of hours without using it. Then try recording or playing back the tape with it plugged in. Unplug it and check again. If this does not work you may have to replace the tape head.

C:32:11 message flashes, cassette eject won't work, camera doesn't work

Just had this problem myself... called Sony. Here is what I did to fix this:

1. Turn off power
2. Open the LCD Display
3. Press "Reset" with paperclip/pen
4. Unplug ANY wires connected to the camcorder
5. Eject battery
6. Plug in DC charger
7. Power on
8. Attempt to eject tape
9. At this point, the metal tape holder comes out but refuses to open... slightly "close" the portion of the camcorder that has the button to eject the tape, and then open it fully again (you'll hear a click, this signals the device that the 'hatch' is open and to eject).
10. The metal door *should* pop out and allow you to withdraw the tape.

I've tried 4 different cassettes and about 2 seconds after hitting play, I get the error every time... my solution: Not going to try to play my tapes on the camcorder anymore... will find another player to play Hi8 MP cassettes. Unknown if able to record to tape as of yet.
