If you have a wireless mouse or a USB mouse plug in and get online to find a downloadable driver for your touch-pad. A lot of file adding and shifting with a touch-pad can get the system fragmented (Defragging may help) and driver files, .dll's, and others your touch-pad needs and uses can get buried in the clutter (file fragments) all over the floor so-to-speak.
