Where would I get a replacement keyboard for my toshiba laptop?

I have several keys that are broken, where would i go to get a replacement keyboard? Thanks

  • Anonymous Nov 14, 2008

I have keys coming loose all of the time. Some are worse than others. I have talked to several friends who have Toshibas and they all have the same problem. I have never had a laptop with this issue before. There should either be a recall or Toshiba should send out spare parts for free or there should be a class action suit. This is nothing but a terrible design!

Look in your instruction book. They give the contact information for parts and service. Also, if you visit the Toshiba web page you can have all the necessary information.

In some of their models, the unit has to go back to them for service. When you try to order a new keyboard, they will tell you that type of information.

Several keys are not working on toshiba L300

Hello,

the problem is from the keyboard. Open the laptop, detach the keyboard from the laptop and clean it. If cleaning does not solve the problem, it means you will have to get another keyboard or use an external keyboard.

Take care.

Fn functions doesn't work on my keyboard?

if the other key are working then you just need an update of your keyboard driver you should find it here:

if still stuck then the key is broken and only a replacement of the keyboard will do.

Find replacement keycaps for toshiba satellite laptop

You can get replacement keys from this company that i used a few months back when i lost two of my keys. They sell genuine keys with their retainer plastic pieces for just $5.
Browse through your brand name, model number and order your required key. It’s that simple. The best part is, you can repair your broken keys yourself by watching the video tutorials on the website.

Loose keys on keyboard

I had the same problem when i bought my new laptop, I turned it off and forced them back in they are quite hard to get back in. If its an old qwerty keyboard, then it needs replacing, the letters will never type what they should ever again.
