Hello Sir, I have a HP Officejet Pro K8600 printer installed on Windows 7. But it does not print A3 papers. It simply sends out blank paper upon receiving print command. Please help me fix this problem.

OfficeJet Pro 8600 will not pick up glossy photo paper from the tray

I tried everything that was suggested on the HP forum but then tried something not reccommended there and it worked. Not only remove tray 2 from the printer properties but force the print to tray 2, when you this it sets the Quality from normal or Best to Custom. Once I done that it worked... Just disabling the tray 2 is not enough.

My hp officejet pro k8600 won't print straight.

When the paper does not feed straight, dirty or stickyrollers can cause it to jamb or crinkle, also failure to remove all traces ofpaper from a previous paper jamb will cause further paper jambs.
The rollers may be dirty or sticky and causes the paper tonot feed straight.
Try cleaning the rollers with methylated spirits.

My HP officejet Pro K8600 sends the message that there is a paper mismatch. The paper is standard letter size and new. What to do to get this machine to print????? Thkx in advance, Don

This could be an OS related problem, but without more info, I can't say for sure...If you recently upgraded to windows 7 see here.
Otherwise, I recommend you confer with the excellent online resources available for your printer at the HP support site here. In particular, check these resources and if nothing there proves helpful, try running through the steps outlined in this article. It may be as simple as adjusting the default print settings for paper size in the properties section of the printer control panel.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

My HP Officejet Pro K8600 prints crooked, how do I fix that?

is the paper going thrugh crooked?
make sure the paper is in the tray and the guides are night and straight.
if that is ok, look for something that makes the paper turn crooked by hitting it, such as a lost scrap of paper or a paperclip where it does not belong.

I have a brand new K8600 A3 printer but have hardly used it as it keeps on telling me that the tray is out of paper ....but it is full.... any advice anyone ? Thanks.

Hi Micheal,

I had faced this issue with the same printer a few months back. HP K8600 has electronic paper sensors, which was not working and needed replacement. I contacted HP Support and, as my unit was under warranty, it was replaced free of charge. So, I recommened that claim its warranty and you will get a new printer.

Good Luck!
Dont forget to appreciate the solution if I could have been of any help!

Paper in tray but message says paper tray empty

HP officejets are notorious for problems with paper feeding...

Try the solutions (ignoring the ones about tray #2) from this solution... They're all the same sort of printer feed mechanism.

... also something I noted with the K850 (the earlier model to the K8600).. some papers are less likely to be picked up than others.

I had to get some cheap A3 paper for that unit which worked better than Xerox branded, higher quality photocopier stuff. Sounds strange but if it works...

Hope that lot helps.
