SOURCE: TV won't stay on
Hello Fonzell!
Regarding the tv turning, my question is, do you hear a clicking sound? if so, it's most probable tio be your ballast, that might not have enough voltage to keep on with your lamp, and that's why it shuts off.
You could try replacing it and seeing if it resolves your issue, I believe they're running around 70 dlls..
have a great one ! :)
SOURCE: TV will not turn on.
This is usually caused by 1 of 2 things.
1: You have a lot of dust in the vents so the bulb gets too hot. You might see a flashing red temperature light on the front status button. Clean the vents to the light housing and see if that solves the problem. You might also want to physically disconnect the power from the TV for about 30 seconds to allow it to reset if it is just a random problem.
2: Your light is about to go out. If you have had the tv for a few years, it is possibly time to replace the light bulb. You can usually tell this because the light will be dimmer than normal and possibly all 3 indicator lights will be blinking on the status button on the front.

Les,
I'm not a TV repair guy but my owners manual states that when all three LED's or lights on the front of the TV are flashing, that the lamp needs to be replaced. Might want to look into this. Good luck!
