SOURCE: Need new beaters

I have the exact same problem. I called B&D at 1-800-231-9786 and they can send the parts, but including S&H to NL the total cost was to be $25.37. I figure that I can just buy a new mixer for that price. The cost of the beaters were $11.39 and shipping would probably be cheaper to ON. Good luck.

Why do beaters stop spinning on the Sunbeam 2370 as soon as they hit the ingredients? It's new.

It is most likely that the 'shear pin' in the drive system has sheared. If it was 'new' someone bought it, over-worked it, packed it up and sent it back.

Parts are obsolete already, it must be new to you, not 'new'.

Hi my mixer suddenly stopped when i was working on it. The butter i was beating was kinda hard is that a reason it stopped?

Does the mixer not turn on at all or the beater just wont turn? Depending on the mixer it could have a fuse that shuts the mixer off if over heated, but it could also be gears.

If you can get the model off of the bottom of the mixer, and then give a bit more information on how it is not working then we can help you with the repair.

Also yes, the butter would most likely be the reason the mixer stopped working. You are supposed to use butter that is soft & at room temperature. I find that if you are in a rush or forgot to soften the butter you can cut it up into small slices and then cream it in your mixer and it doesn't strip the gears.

Beater on Kitchen Aid stand mixer doesn't touch bottom of bowl

Why would you raise the beater if you want it to reach the bottom of the bowl? You need to lower the beater. Turn the screw in until it just touches with empty bowl on high speed then turn it counter clockwise a 1/4 turn so it will just clear.

Motors continue to go out. No notice or anything, just stops. Bake cookies, butter, sugar and flour only, not a heavy dough. Normally lasts for about 9 months. I always make sure butter is room...

When you say that the "motor's continue to go out," do you mean that the motor itself stops working or that the motor still runs but the beater stops turning? These are two different problems.

Take a look at this Service Manual which is correct for your model and see if it helps:

I just got my mixer a few weeks ago for Christmas. I have made cookies twice. My problem is that the bottom of the bowl doesn't get scraped. The first time, I ended up putting more flour in the dough...

Put the flat beater on and mount the bowl to the machine. Now look for the screw next to where the beater mounts on the head- this is the adjusting screw. Turn it counterclockwise to lower the beater, just a quarter of a turn, and then check where it's running in the bowl. Repeat as necessary. If you need to raise the beater, just turn the screw the other way.

Middle better comes loose

Try placing some "braces" rubber bands around the shafts of the beaters. This should tighten the hold of the shaft with the mixer and keep them more straight.

Mixer not creaming butter and sugar...

make sure you are using the right attachment. usually for batters you want to use the flat beater. not the dough hook. the flat beater looks like a triangle with lines through the center. and make sure you are using the correct speed on the mixer. start out at stir and then go up to no more than half speed. these mixers take a little longer to incorperate batters but they do a very good job at it. if the batter is thin enough you can try using the wisk as well. but only if it is a thin batter.
