You need to print a self diagnostic page. On that page will be listed the number of pages printed from trays and accessories.

To print the Self-Test Diagnostic Page
• Control panel: Press Setup, select Print Report, select Self-Test Report, and
then press OK.
• Toolbox (Windows): Click the Services tab, and then click Print Self-test
Diagnostic Page.
• HP Printer Utility (Mac OS): Click Device Information from the Information and
Support panel, and then click Print Configuration Page.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate this as fixya.

You can't. Depends on the quality of prints and how many copies you use. You have to test the first time putting a start date and then compare. Some programs allow you to count how many pages you printed. That would be an alternative more accurate

I replaced the black ink cartridge yesterday and it seemed to print fine. Today it is not dispensing any ink. (I also just replaced the print head a few weeks ago.)

When I go to print a document, it pulls the paper through, but does not print

Try to clean the printhead nozzles on your Lexmark Impact S305 printer. From the printer operator panel, press Setup button > Maintenance > Deep Clean Printhead. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through the printhead nozzles and clean them.

If that doesn't help, please visit the Lexmark support page to determine if your printer is affected with the printhead issue. Also, make sure your printer is updated. The firmware update will help give you a highly reliable print system.

Is there a way to determine the number of pages an Alps MD-1000 has printed, like a mileage gauge on a car.

Yes. It's very easy. Turn the printer off, unplug it, and disconnect the printer cable. Insert two sheets of paper, and make sure the paper feed is set to automatic. You need to have a black cartridge loaded into the 1st slot.

Plug in the printer and wait for the lights to turn off. Press and hold the power button at the same time press and hold the "ready/Insert" button. Release the power button, but keep holding the "ready/Insert" button for at least 4 seconds. After 4 seconds, release the "ready/Insert" button and quickly press it again. The printer will start the selftest.

For the 1300, the number of bands printed will be on page two. On the 1st page, there will be a black bar on the bottom of the page. It should be a solid black bar with no lines - this is the test for bad elements on the print head.

When I print a one page document, tray 1 prints on multiple papers at a time. 1 page prints on 5 pages.

If you don't have a manual, you can find one here

My guess is either on the printer or the driver. Skimming the manual, it doesn't seem that you can set the default number of pages printed per sent print job on the printer, but that is something I would look into. This is a nice office printer, perhaps the printer is set to print multiple copies of everything it is sent. You could determine if it is the printer or driver/computer by printing to it from another computer.

If it is the computer, go into the control panel and select the properties for this printer. In there, check if the number of copies is improperly set to 5. This would happen for every print job sent from this system.

Does it print 5 copies of documents sent from different programs (i.e. Web Page, Word, Excel)? Quite possibly, one time you set it to print 5 copies and that application retained that as default. In that application, rather than clicking "print" click "printer setup" and look through the settings to see if it is requesting multiple copies.

I am 95% sure one of these three solutions will solve your problem.

Why does my printer keep printing blank pages

Check whether the "print preview" on the screen shows blank too...
Make sure the document you are printing doesn't have blank pages. You may think that it might be one page, it might be two. Somehow you may have inserted a blank page or two.
Running a printer operation check
If you are unable to determine the source of the problem, performing a printer operation check can help you determine whether the problem comes from this product or the computer.

Dust on the drum??

No, don't buy a drum, that message means you take it out, run the little blue tab near the front, back and forth about 20 times to clean the corona. You can blow with a can of air into the opening, re-install and you should be fine.

My printer only jams when printing multiple pages

Is there a specific code you are getting when the machine stops?
It can be a few things, one would be a 3 letter number code, the other a 8 digit number listed as xx,xxx.xxx.
That would help greatly in determining your problem.
