I threw out the coffee pot. The replacement carafe was more expensive than the entire coffeepot!

Gevalia doesn't ahve a replacment carafe for their double 12 cup coffee maker. I just called them and they told me this.

Tell them you need a new carafe for #CCM901 sent to your address.
If you pull it apart and have a close look you will notice one of your Tungsten bars is broken. This causes an "open circuit" situation. Hence one side not working, Easiest and probably cheaper to buy a new toaster, you can buy the fillament material, however the terminations may prove difficult
