I am not an electronics expert, but mine stopped and it was out of warranty by about 3 months so I decided to take it apart....I am usually pretty good at fixing things. I found the problem. One of the small capacitors on the power cicuit board had went out and leaked across the circuit.
I called to see if I could get a new board and was told no. My choice was to exchange it for a new one if it was still under warranty or throw it away if it wasn't!!!!

Our FT series Mr Coffee brews a cup or so, then acts like either there's no more water in the tank, or water is not flowing to the heater. It beeps several times as if brewing is complete and spits steam. -Scott
same exact problem.
I'm having the same issue... keep in mind, only worked a couple of times before 'dying' (received coffee pot as gift for Xmas) I turn the coffee pot on, takes about half hour to give me only a few cups. Cleaned everything I possibly can, still having issues. Tried using vinegar to 'clean' my brand new coffee maker, here's what happens. Add 4 cups of vinegar, select 'Clean' for my setting, brews about 2 cups and beeps once... wait about half hour and it beeps again... leaving 2 cups still unbrewed in the reservoir, never finishing. Once I dumped out the vinegar, tried it with water to rinse out the vinegar, repeat same process and still same situation... 2 cups brew, beeps, wait half hour, beeps again, 2 cups of water left in reservoir. I have an 8 month old son that is teething and his mom and I need our coffee dammit!
