I have the cable connected securely but can NOT figure out how to get the Hitachi TV to recognize that connection.
To fix it, just turn the set off, let it discharge for a few hours. Reach in and remove the socket from the back of the tube and reinsert a few times to break through the corrosion.
This is a sign of weakness in the manufacturer of the guns and the connecting sockets. The metal used in the pin connections inside the socket are corroding and when you remove the socket and reinsert it cuts through the corrosion and makes good
contact again.
If still not working contact the support for your television..

Have you cycled thru the inputs on the TV? Should display under the DVI input setting. Use input/source button on your remote to cycle thru inputs.

I just bought this $50. HDMI to DVI cable - hooked it up = nothing. I go thru everything I can with the remote but it doesn't pick up on my cpomputer's output via the hdmi cord....
