This camera needs rechargeable batteries usually lasts about a week with much use. I thought what a waste of batteries then tried these rechargable and the situation hasn't occured . it is probably because it is small digtal camera which uses alot of power.
If the camera was dropped, then it's really causing those kinds of issues.
You could still try these steps below:
First, do the POWER RESET:
- Turn off camera - Remove batteries for a minute - Reload batteries - Turn on camera
Second, do the MASTER RESET - Press on MENU button - Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2 - Scroll down until you see RESET - Press the right button to pick up on YES or NO - Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved
- Turn off camera for a few seconds so that settings will be refreshed
Third, you could try cleaning the lens with a soft clean cloth.
Make sure you are wiping gently.
Fourth, try to take a picture using this way:
- Press and hold the shutter button halfway first for 3-5 seconds,
and then press it all the way down
Fifth, if it still does the same thing, then your camera needs to be repaired by a technician.
If you want to know where you could send it, just call the hotline of the manufacturer of your product so you could get assistance
about this matter.
the beeping is the battery being dead but the black screen with random stuff sounds like the LCD panel is busted. i work at a repair shop and have the same problem with my samsung s630 major problem...lcd panel is not available anylonger for that model.
When taking pictures, you must really be allowing time for the camera's flash to be charged before you could take another picture so that camera will have enough time to rest and it could function normally.
But if the camera was dropped, then it's really causing those kinds of issues like flash will not work properly.

Sounds like the auto focus mechanism in the camera needs to be cleaned and adjusted. The camera can be repaired yourself but it takes a great deal of mechanical know how and knowledge. Several links have already been posted on this issue.
I recommend you take the camera to a repair shop and have it done correctly.
I had this same problem and it was driving me crazy. I looked the camera over carefully and noticed that the lens was a little crooked. I gently pulled the protruding lens piece a little and it popped into place. After that, the camera worked fine. I guess if the lens is jammed the camera won't turn on if the lens can't move. I hope this helps you.
mine is doing the exact same thing. have you figured it out?
