When i open my computer, it is slow 2 open it. before, my computer is windows vista. now it is windows XP. what's the problem with my computer?

Running windows vista service pack 2 but quicken 2014 won't open

One solution would be to run it pretending your Vista is XP. I have seen it done but as I have no Vista machine, I cannot tell you the steps. Search for running Vista in XP mode - once you have managed that, try installing the software.
The second solution would be to open a virtual machine on Vista and running that as an XP machine. Again, I have seen it done.

The problem I had was with Quickbooks, not Quicken, but the principle is the same and worth a try. Good luck.

Slow boot of the computer

if your computer is booting very slow and your operating system is XP / VISTA / WIN 7 dont get frustated//
here is the quick solution
1) xp computer---click start/ run/ type msconfig/ ok/
system configuration window will open//
goto startup / hit the tab disable all at the bottom// apply//
go to services and at the bottom put the check on the box which says " hide all microsoft services" then click ok or close to close the system configuration window and restart the computer and it will boot very fast .
when the computer boots up you will get the window of system configuration and at the bottom put the check on the box which says "do not show this msg again".

note** vista and win 7 user will have to follow the same steps.. just type the command " msconfig" in the start seargh which appears at the bottom when you click the start button.

Computer is running slow may have a virus

Sounds like you have the We-Care.com app installed; it's a free online donation tool. You may have downloaded it along with a disk utility or some other freeware. If you're getting a popup message, you're probably having issues. Contact them at the email address, or uninstall by following directions below:

Open your Start menu and choose Control Panel.
In Windows XP: choose Add/Remove Programs.
In Vista: choose Programs/Features.
In Windows 7: Choose Uninstall a program.
Find the We-Care Reminder (may be ASPCA Reminder by We-Care.com).
Choose Remove (Windows XP), or right click and select uninstall (Vista and Win 7).

Can i'm going in pc game for vista

1. PC games are better supported by Windows XP than Vista.
2. IGI is a large game and and may sometimes play very slow on vista.
3. This is because the game eats up a large amount of your RAM during gaming which slows down background windows processes.

4.However, the better way to play IGI on Vista is to install a NVIDIA Graphics Card - GeForce 8600GT - 256 MB / 512 MB on your computer.

well first of all vista is slow and ur system may be a bit to old for vista, but thats cause vista is stupid, see vista will do ten things to do one thing! make sense see vista is just a pretty version of xp, Your computer is fast but also you installing a horrible OS on it, just stick with XP man unless you really liked vista then just a newer computer will solve this, just stick to XP.

LOL ok 2 GB harddrive haha ur Operating System is at least 9 GBS lol maybe you meant 20 lol

Vista is slow

The slowness of Vista depends on the components that you have for the computer. Did you buy your computer with Win Vista installed? If you upgraded your computer from XP to Vista, you have to make sure that it is covered by the system requirements of Vista.

If you have a brand new computer with Vista installed in it, then there could be a little glitch on the program. I've used different kinds of Vista (Home Premium, Vista Business and Vista Ultimate) but none of them worked slow. If that's a brand new computer, I would suggest to contact the manufacturer or the reseller.
