Digimax i5 problem charging battery

When I put the camera in its cradle to recharge the battery, all I get is a red flashing light instead of a green. The camera is 1 1/2 years old.

When we plugged our a new battery to charge it did the same thing. So I took out the memory card and plugged it back in. Now the light just lights up red and stays on. The charger pack is hot but the light never turned green to indicate charge. What is going on?

Hello,
■ Charging LED

Charging LED
Red LED is on = Being charged
Red LED is blinking = Charging error
Green LED is on = Charging is complete

● If the charge indicator blinks as red, it indicates a battery charging error.
- The battery is not properly inserted
- The terminals of battery are dirty or damaged
If the battery is inserted properly and the charge indicator continues to blink, contact the
nearest Samsung Camera Service Center.

If the charging LED doesn't turn to green could mean a signal that the battery is bad or can't charge 100% anymore = too old, needs a new battery. Hope this helps.

My Logitech Dinovo Edge is not recharging. When I put it in the charger the battery charging indicator light flashes red instead of green.

Were you having problems with short battery life before this happened? Most of the time if the battery is not recharging it needs to be replaced. Have never seen the red flashing light before though. It may mean that the battery has shorted out.

Charger red lite flashing. Camera comes on for one second and shuts off

Hello,
Here's a copy from the owners manual:
■ Charging LED
Red LED is on = Being charged
Red LED is blinking = Charging error
Green LED is on = Carging is complete

● If the charge indicator blinks as red, it indicates a battery charging error.
- The battery is not properly inserted
- The terminals of battery are dirty or damaged
If the battery is inserted properly and the charge indicator continues to blink, contact the
nearest Samsung Camera Service Center.

Another charging error is when the batteries are so depleted, they won't charge up to 100% anymore = red light doesn't go out and remains on for too long, means get a new battery.

Same Problem

Hello, it was:
■ Charging LEDCharging LED

Green LED is on = Charging is complete

● If the charge indicator blinks as red, it indicates a battery charging error.
- The battery is not properly inserted

Or if the red LED remains on without turning green could mean a bad battery that no longer charges to 100% - get a new battery. Hope this helps

Not charging?

hi here is the home page of your camera download its driver and read the manual : http://www.samsungcamera.com/customer/download/cus_down_main.asp?key=Digimax+i5+&x=42&y=10 i belive the problem is the connection between the metal surfaces in the camera and the metal tabs in the deck make sure the tabs are upright and elastic (after many uses they squashed a little) good luck
