I am using windows xp with sound blaster 5.1 sb1070 but the driver is not working

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers hope this helps

I am using an old sound card named as creative aweD64 but windows7 is unable to find its drivers, any help?

the reason is that the card was sold before windows 7 was announced, and Windows 7 CD doesn't have the driver for this card. you have to go to the creative web site to search for the windows 7 driver for this card. if there is no exact driver, search for something similar. I have done this for my creative card, forget the model #. I can check it for you later... good luck,

I recently installed windows 7 ultimate on my pc which earlier had xp installed. i am unable to get any sound from my speakers creative inspire 5200 5.1...windows recognizes my speakers but coudnt install...

its not the speakers. it may be that your sound card driver is not installed so try downloading the drivers from the laptop support site and then try connecting your speakers.

Did install windows 7 ultimate.. then i donloaded the windows 7 driver for mz aureon 5.1 pci Card.. NO SOUND... any hints?

Please follow the steps below to get sound.
1) Uninstall the driver that you have downloaded.
2) Reboot the computer.
3) Now download the Beta Driver for the same from website mentioend below.
http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=1&CatName=sound+blaster&subCatID=208&subCatName=X-Fi&prodID=14066&prodName=X-Fi+XtremeMusic

4) Install the Beta Driver and again reboot the computer.
5) It would work 100%. This has been suggested to many people and it worked just perfectly fine.

Download the drivers for win 7 because the software which is provided not supporting win 7.
