I have a new Samsung ht-txq120 home cinema system (2nd one) that played ok for a while then will only play region one disc's.can you help samsung never phone back as promised.

Hi. There is a change in focus by the laser for a dual layer DVD - the laseer has to read through a semi-transmissive layer for that extra information too.
Cleaning your laser lens with a cleaning disc kit may bring it bck to life especially if you smoke... else could be time for a new laser(s) https://www.bandcds.co.uk/faqs/dual-layer-dvds
hi there! turn on the hometheater then wait for the no disc display, press the stop botton, do not release until the unit turn off, you will see the initial word on the panel,then try to play your disc
Hi I had this problem.
Aent it back to supplier had something replaced and it worked ok for a month and started doing the same thing so i went onto Samsungs website and downloaded the firmware onto a USB memory stick and loaded it onto the system, has been working fine for the last 6 months here is the link

Turn on the HT with no DVD. Press the following buttons on the remote: ENTER 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 ENTER It will turn off. When turned again on it is a region free HT.
