If you are using two amplifiers used one the amplifier to power a sub woofer on you though frequency the other amplifier willpower the rest of speakers make sure your power wires are separate and the both run at 15 to 20 A
If only tuner channels 2,3,4,5 have no audio and the rest of the tuner channels do have audio then it should be a issue with the source and not a tv issue. The tuner would output the audio from the tuner for all channels. You may wish to check with the cable provider to have them check the broadcast.
First of all, the KRF-V510 doesn't support direct powering of the Surround back but it does have a Pre Out to drive externally amplifed Surround back speaker(s).
The indicator for BS on the front panel is NOT an indication of speaker presence. It IS an indication of the INPUT presence of that channel.
During setup you will only see RB or LB ...
Page 17: IF you have something other than OFF set for Surrounds....
Page 17, step 9: AND you select something other than OFF if you have Surround back Speakers attached to the speaker connectors...
.. and complete the rest of the setup properly. You should HEAR the Test Tones on all speakers. If the Surround Back is inaudible you would need to investigate the external amp/speaker combination you're using.
For channel setup you will need to;
1) Connect the signal source to the back of the set.(Antenna or Cable) 2) Go into the TV Menu and select the same signal source you connected to the back.(Antenna or Cable)
3) Go to the auto program/scan menu and run it. This may take a few minutes.
The original date for digital conversion for television broadcasts was February 17, 2009. The date has been extended to June 12, 2009 by Congress, at which time all analog television broadcasting will be discontinued. Some stations, due to technical reasons, have already made the transition, while others continue to broadcast an analog signal. This may attribute to your only receiving 4 stations via your "rabbit ear" antenna.
You can check the website of your favorite stations to see when they will make the transition to digital broadcasting. Also, households are eligible for up to two coupons for $40 each toward the purchase of certain converter boxes. You can check out the details at https://www.dtv2009.gov/ for more information regarding the coupons.
