It did work.

Why won't my Uniden cord or cordless phone system dial out. with each digit pressed a dial tone is heard and nothing connects.

I have not seen this in a long time. 'Way back in
the 1970's a similar problem would occur when the
telephone company accidently reversed the 'tip and
ring' wires. This was only a problem with the
then-new "push button" (tone) dialing, the standad
rotary dials worked fine. The fix was to reverse
the red & green station wires in the "B-block"
(on the baseboard) to undo the central office goof.

Maybe it still happens? Try reversing the red &
green wires in the modular socket you are plugging
the base ('main unit') into.

Good luck!

How do I set up speed dialing on my phone DECT1560 ?

Hello,

ou can save up to 8 phone numbers in your speed dial book. The speed dial keys go from 2 to 9. When you place a call, our system prompts you to "enter the phone number you wish to dial". You just press the appropriate speed dial key followed by the pound sign (#) and your call goes through. No long numbers to enter any more!

If you set a speed dial for our access number on your phone machine, you have to press three keys only to complete a dial - as easy as "1-2#"! That's it!

For example, you can set your parents' phone number as speed dial key 2 and your friend's number as key 3. After dialing the access number from your phone, you will press 2 then # to reach your parents, or press 3# to reach your friend. Nothing could be easier!
Speed Dial set up Instructions:
Dial the access number, wait for prompt.
Enter PIN number, wait for prompt.
Dial: "#" "2" "#" [a speed dial number: 1-9] "#" [destination number] "#". The system will confirm the number.
Example: [#] [2] [#] [5] [#] [011-888-88-88-88-88] [#]
Use Speed Dial:
Dial the access number, wait for prompt.
Enter PIN number, wait for prompt.
Dial: [speed dial key (1-9)] "#"
Hope this will help to solve the problem....

My phone is stuck on rotary dialing. My handset had all the options but the dial mode. After caller id setup it went straight to languages and then started back over with ringer volume.

1) When the phone is in the standby mode, press menu/mute.
2) Press - to move the pointer to “Dial Mode”.
3) Press select/ch and the display will show the current setting.
(The initial setting is Tone.)
4) Press + or - to change the selection.
5) Press select/ch and a confirmation tone will sound.
6) Press end to exit.

How to set up Speed Dial on a Uniden phone?

My Mom had this same problem.   I found these instructions on Uniden's website (uniden.com) under the "Owner Manuel" section.

Here you go - good luck!

Using the Speed Dial Memory
Storing Numbers in Speed Dial Memory
Your cordless phone can store up to ten numbers (up to 20 digits each) in the speed dial
memory. To store number in memory:
1) When the phone is in standby, press [memory]. The talk/batt low LED flashes.
2) Use the keypad to enter the phone number.
(To enter a 2-second pause between numbers, press [redial/
pause]. Each pause counts as a digit. )
3) Press [memory] again.
4) Select the speed dial location where you would like to store the
number ( [0] to [9] ). You will hear a confirmation tone indicating
that the number has been stored.
NOTE:
• Storing a number to a speed dial location will
overwrite the any previously stored number without
warning.
• When storing numbers into memory and the handset is idle (i.e., no key is
pressed) for more than 0 seconds, it will beep rapidly, and then the phone
will return to standby.
Dialing a Stored Number
1) When the phone is in standby, press [talk], and listen for a dial tone.
2) Press [memory] and enter the speed dial entry ([0] – [9]) that has the stored number
you want to dial. (If you enter a digit that does not contain a stored number, the
handset will beep rapidly, and the phone will not dial.)
Chain Dialing
The speed dial memory is not limited to phone numbers. You can store any number (up
to 20 digits) that you need to enter once your call connects. This is referred to as Chain
Dialing. An example is a frequently refilled prescription number. Store your pharmacy
phone number in one speed dial and your most frequently refilled prescription number
as another speed dial. To use, once you ring your pharmacy's automated prescription
line, simply press [memory] and the speed dial number where you stored your account
number.
Erasing a Stored Number from Memory
1) With the phone in standby, press [memory] twice.
2) Press the number of the speed dial entry. A tone indicates that the stored number is
erased from memory.

Dial Tone but won't call out.

The problem was the main phone line not the phone itself

Uniden Model EXP7900 How do I program button m1

One-Touch Dialing
Your phone is equipped with three .One-Touch Priority. keys for
instant dialing (m1, m2, and m3). You cannot store phone
numbers directly into m1, m2, andm3. They are only used
to dial phone numbers stored into memory locations 1, 2, and 3
on the keypad.
1. To instantly dial phone numbers stored in memory locations
1, 2, or 3, simply press m1, m2, or m3. (There is no need to
press talk, the phone will automatically dial.)
2. If no phone number was stored in memory locations 1, 2, or 3
on the keypad, pressing m1, m2, or m3 will do nothing.

I hope this helps.

RCA Model 25204 2 line speakerphone corded with call waiting caller ID

As bsmither said, how voice mail is accessed is very dependent on your phone company and how they've set things up. They would be the best place to ask about any problems you're having there.

As for programming the voice mail buttons on the 25204, I was confused by that one as well until I finally figured it out. Specializations aside, they're just speed dial buttons, and are programmed in exactly the same way as the ones along the right side of the phone. RCA could have documented that detail better than they did.

In my case, with Vonage, I just programmed the buttons with the numbers for the lines that they're associated with. When they dial and I'm connected to the voice mail system, I'm prompted for my VM password, which I then enter manually.

Press 1 for English

Do you possibly have the phone set on Pulse dialing when your phone company only supports Tone (or vice-versa)? Hit Menu, select Global Setup, then Dial Mode, and see which is selected. Try the other and see if that fixes it.
