In the controller unit (the controller holds the 6 AA batts) there is a compartment just under the green charge light. Open the compartment by sliding the compartment door down in the direction of the arrow. This will expose a wire with a white plug on the end of it. Insert this plug into a socket found on the underbelly of the helicopter next to the on/off switch. On the controller, turn the switch to the 'on' position. The red and green light on the controller will light, indicating it's charging. After about 15 minutes, the green light will go out, indicating that the helicopter is fully charged.

SOURCE: cant find potentiometer screw to

The Potentiometer screw is there, right underneath the orange label for the On\Off switch. Your cockpit housing, (read the red bubble) is removable by gently pulling the housing off the posts on either side at the bottom rear.

Removing the housing is also a great aid to reach the connections easily when you need to recharge the battery pack.

How do I charge my Tech Toyz Aeroblade tactical wireless indoor helicopter? No manual.

The helicopter charges off of the batteries in the controller as follows:
  • Connect the helicopter to the controller as shown in the picture. Make sure there are good batteries in the controller.
  • Turn the helicopter off.
  • Turn the controller on. The red "power" light and the green "charge" light on the controller should come on.
  • When the green light turns off, the helicopter is done charging.

Lack of power after charge

If your Brookstone Stunt Copter RC helicopter is not getting enough power after being charged, there could be a few different issues that could be causing this. Here are a few things you can try:
Make sure the battery is fully charged: It's possible that the battery was not charged for a long enough period of time, so make sure the battery is fully charged before trying to fly the helicopter again.
Check the battery connections: Make sure the battery is properly connected to the helicopter and that the connections are clean and free of corrosion.
Try a different battery: If the issue persists, try using a different battery to see if that resolves the problem.
Check the transmitter: Make sure the transmitter is properly charged and functioning.
Check the helicopter's Motor: Check the helicopter's motor to ensure it is working properly. If the motor is not working, the helicopter will not have enough power to fly.
Check the helicopter's circuit: Check the helicopter's circuit, if any of the circuits is damaged, it may cause the helicopter to lose power.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that the helicopter may be defective and require repair or replacement. In that case, contact Brookstone customer support for further assistance.

"greensbr" did you ever find a source for broken

Hi Glen,

Your request was quite a chase with most links pointing back to this forum or to hobby shops where our iwave copter just does not exist.

We do have expert help here to solve our problems but at $12 $16 or $20 this is simply a ridiculous price to pay for one wanting a simple parts manual.

I finally googled iwave+customer support and came up with this link which shows some promise.
http://www.enigmatec.net/community_customers_support.html

I sent an email to the address listed in the link but have not recieved a reply at this writing. What I would like to have is an extra battery pack for the Copter.

If you do not have any luck with this, It is my thought that the iwave copter is manufactured by another company and sold under the iwave name. There are hundreds of different models of RC copters out there so it is my thought that you could probably go to a hobby shop that sell's these accessories with your "good rotor" in hand and they could probably match it up for you.

Please feel free to add a "comment" to this as we can keep each other posted on the return mail from [email protected]

Can i buy replacement parts for helicopter

Hi casinojack,

What you need to do is to use your email account to contact [email protected] and give them a description of your problem.

They are probably going to have you go to http://www.iwaveaudio.com/support.asp and fill out an RMA request which is just your address and the like.

I went through this and my RMA request was denied because I did not have a reciept to attach to the form as I had recieved the Copter as a gift.

I sent them another email saying that I just wanted a parts manual to order from but have not heard back from them.

Have Heart! it is my thought that if you do have a reciept, they may give you an address to send the machine to for repair or possibly send you a replacement.

Is there anywhere to order replacement parts for the RC jumbo iwave helicopter? The antenea is not screwing into the control box and one of the rotors is cracked. Is this just a cheap RC?

IMO, the helicopter is a very good "transition" or "Stepping stone". My background was with the small indoor models so I was prepared to address issues such as trim adjustment and had good luck with my copter right out of the box. This model is much faster and more sensitive and will be a great trainer for my first three or four channel model.
