Code not turning off dvdplayer using dish network remote

You can try but Dish remotes have a rather limited number of possible codes so it is unlikely you will find one that works.

Hi my nameis Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see you need the code for the Mintek DVDplayer. Hi there!! This is Kimberly Escobar with DISH Network, just ran across your post and wanted to provide you with some helpful information to help get your problem resolved. If your remote control is functioning as far as turning the T.V off and the volume, one of the things you may want to check is that the power button is working, you can verify this by trying to turn on and off the receiver. If it works for the receiver you will need to try to address the remote to your T.V again using different codes. To address a remote to the T.V we use certain codes that integrate to the remote allowing it to function with the T.V. unfortunately we cannot promise the remote will function the T.V completely. Hi my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see you're trying toprogram the Innovage Jumbo remote to the DISH receiver. The best way would beto use the DISH Network remote and have all units programmed to our remote,however if you want the universal remote programmed to the DISH receiver thefirst thing you want to do is press the Code Search button for 5 seconds, whenthe Red Light is on release the Code Search button and keep pressing the ShutDown button until the unit turns off. When it turns off press Enter to lock itin.

It may be that you are not using the correct code for yourparticular Bose component. I would recommend trying all of these codes: 761,664, 656, and 639. If you are still not able to use your DISH remote to controlthe volume of your Bose component, try doing a power scan. Press and hold theAUX button on the top of your DISH remote until all the mode buttons on the toplight up, then release. Press 2 then * on the number pad, press the powerbutton at the top of the remote, then keep pressing the up button on theremote. Continue doing this until your Bose unit turns off, once it has, stoppressing the up button and press the pound (#) button. Check that the code works by trying several differentfunctions on the remote to make sure it properly operates your Bose component.Keep in mind that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment.

To program your DISH Network remote to your Sony TV you will simply- press and hold the TV Mode button until all the other mode button back lights illuminate, then release.

-Now while the TV mode button is blinking please enter in the remote code 500 which is the remote code for your Sony TV after entering 500 then press the pound (#) key.

-After pressing the # key on the DISH Network remote, the TV mode button should blink 3 times and then turn off completely. This will mean the programming of the DISH remote to your TV has been completed successfully. While still in TV mode try any of the functions on the remote, such as turning the volume up or down on your TV or attempting to press the power button.

-The DISH Network remote should now be programmed to control your TV.

-If the remote code 500 doesn't program the DISH Network remote successfully you can also try each of the following using the same procedures, 000, 590, 640, 502, 002, or 567.

Our dish remotes are compatible with most TV manufacturers. On some older TV, we may not have codes that allow for full functionality for the DISH remote. I have provided the most common codes to work with the Sharp TV. The codes are: 628, 605, 740, 591, and 606. I have also provided instructions on programming the remote to the TV.

Remotes: Basic (Television Only)

1. Turn the Television On
2. Press and Hold the TV Power button for three seconds until the LED flashes
3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
4. Press OK. Note: The LED will flash three times.
5. Test functionality with the TV
6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

Step 1:
Press and hold the TV Mode button until all mode button back lights come on, then release.

Step 2:
Use the number buttons to enter the device code corresponding to the equipment. In your case we are going to use the Emerson codes: 764, 632, 648, 670, 699, 194, 537, 537. Then press the pound (#) button.

You should be able to control the volume and turn the TV on and off, if not try another code. Although we try to facilitate you in controlling both devices with one remote we cannot guarantee that we have codes for all the different brands and models of TV's.

On your dish remote, press and hold the tv button until all 4 buttons light up, then release. push either of the power buttons once. Now start pushing the down channel button, It's the one right below select, continue pushing it until tv turns off. When tv goes off push down button one more time then push up button, when tv turns back on stop and press # key, tv light will flash 3 times and should be set. Note....if u press down button and tv does not turn off after going through all codes( tv light will start flashing) press cancel and try again only channel up this time. hope this helps.
