Mlatham990,

First I would make sure that you have not run out of one color of ink, which will make the colors look funny. This is the most likely problem and can be solved by replacing the cartridge. If you print a test page it should be obvious if a color is missing.

If you are absolutely sure that there is not a color missing then the following information may be helpful.

There is no adjustment for the relationship of the colors at the printer. Depending on the monitor you have you may be able to go into the menu and adjust the tint, which is the relationship of the three colors, but generally monitors use an RGB signal and you cannot adjust the relationship.

If you can adjust the color tint I would print out a test page, or something with the color which is wrong, and then compare the colors on the page to the color on the screen while adjusting the tint to make the two match.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

My Epson Stylus NX400 wont print because I'm out of colored ink. I just want to print in black and white and I cannot bypass the error screen.

This because the coloured ink is sometimes mixed to get black. You will also damage the print head on them. Replace coloured ink to fix.

Cannon MP600 will not print accurate photo colours

First clean and align the printer correctly.

You will need to ensure that you have selected Photo Glossy Paper for best results. You will also need to adjust the gamma settings and also play with the colour saturation controls to achieve a good colour balance that you are happy with.

Try printing a basic colour additive chart and comparing screen against printout and adjusting settings as required.

Also have a look at myPANTONE colour splash to get the definitive Pantone Colour Mixes at

or use a paint tool or PhotoShop etc to create solid colour blocks of basic colour to compare against.

My photos are coming out Pink tinted. I Have new cartridges installed, can this be fixed?

Hi,
Could you do a "diagnostic" print? As it might be that the colours con your tricolour cartridge have been cross-contaminated**
To test the purity of the colour just go to word, excel or any other application, Create a document that has pure colour squares or you can print page 1 of this link . Then compare the colours of the page on the screen versus what you got. if the colours are off, it means your cartridge has been cross contaminated. Sadly a cross contaminated cartridge can't be fixed. So if you just bought it I would recommend you return it :(
Cheers, Ed

**: (this could be the results of refilling, storing the cartridge in the wrong container or on very rare occasions a HP manufacturing issue).

My DCP-115C printer was missing red colour.

Yellow is one of the colours used to produce a shade of red.

I don't know how but ther must be a way to print a test page to see if the print heads need cleaning I've never used a brother.

Lexmark X2650: will it let me print when out of 1 colour ink?

lexmark printers usually just have a pop up on the screen to let you know you are out of ink in that cartridge, but it will still normally let you print.

My printer is not printing text in neither colour nor grayscale.

Go to Word>>
In new Documents

Type following with Big font size, their respective colour

BLACK
RED
BLUE
YELLOW

Now you will come to know which colour is not printing, in case any problem in nozzel or print head.
Secondly, go to Notepad and try printing somthing from that.

Please try this and provide your experience
