If your TV has Optical Output then connect via toslink optical cable with Bose CineMate Interface. If Optical output port is not available then check for 2 RCA Male stereo cable to connect.
Connect your devices (DVD/Blue Ray Player, Cable Box) to the TV via HDMI. Whatever Audio input comes to TV will be forwarded to Bose CineMate.
Note : You can still hear audio from TV. But you can turn volume down on TV and increase volume on Bose CineMate.
You don't need to send audio TO a TV. I's a TV, not a source of anything. Many of us use monitors (no TV speakers). The Bose speakers are presumably superior to the TV speakers so whatever the TV is watching (cable/sat/dvd) shuld have its own audio. If your TV does not have any audio output jacks, you can connect the CineMate™ speaker system to the audio output jacks of another source, such as a DVD player or cable/satellite box. However, you will hear sound only from the connected source through your CineMate

Thank you dunnbiker. But, is there another way b/c I keep having to reconnect the Bose to whatever source I am using at the time? If we are watching cable it is in the cable box, and if we want to watch a movie we have to connect it to the DVD player...etc. It is extremely frustrating! Is there a box that will connect them all...I am completely lost when it comes to these kind of things!
