I cannot download the Fisher-Price iXL Scooby Doo or Princess to my computer. I downloaded the initial software that came with the gaming system and even downloaded Handy Manny onto the system. They start to download and an error pops up.

Usually the game console require compartibility to the game disk for an exprience to be achieved. For example, acquiring a game disk is not compartible to acquiring readability in a DVD or media disk player. The game disk require a game model player to achieve user experiences. Show up at Toys Rus stores to acquire compartible gaming consoles. Good luck
So here's the deal, the available software are only discs to buy from retailers. They do not have them available online nor can you install it from online so why it is available to download online is BEYOND me! The 20 digit registration code is available when your purchase the software disc from a retailer like Toys R Us. They for some reason make it seem like these programs are available for you to download online and for FREE and even if you want to purchase the software online you can't! LOL! My suggestion is to have everyone with the same problem call their customer service and make a complaint because the way they present it is highly misleading. Their customer service number is 1-888-892-6123! Call complain. Give them your info. Maybe they will send it to you for free! Can't hurt! Hope this helps. :)
I was having same problem, trying to install initial software from CD, I kept getting error messages that said to contact Fisher-Price for support. I searched for a while and finally found the mfg. website (Mattel) and download the most up-to-date version from the website... here's the link: http://service.mattel.com/us/technicalproductdetail.aspx?prodno=R9703&siteid=27&catid=520
Once downloaded it installed on my computer without error and all is well...
Sorry I don't have a solution but I am having the exact issue as you. I have emailed the mattel corporate office as I have not been able to get through to the consumer relations department.
Did you download the cd that came with the ixl product first? I broke mine all to pieces and am trying to download the Scooby Doo, but I think I need the other on the comp. first. Ughh! I just ordered a replacement CD for the IXL online...the one with the monkey on the front that comes with the hardware. I hope you have better luck than me!
Here is what I did:
Mine requested for the H drive instead of P.
I downloaded Daemon Tools Lite and installed it. I ran it the mount and drive manager. I right clicked on the bottom box. Clicked "add SCSi virtual device" I had to do this twice until it created a device called H. I tried the installation again, and the error occured and said "My documents" couldn't be found. I was able to restore the default location of my documents using some window that popped up. I might have clicked on My Documents or something, I'm not sure. Then it installed fine.
