SOURCE: ring vs vibrate

This phone allows you to independently set ring and vibrate modes. When you access "Call Vibrate" to set the mode, also visit the "Call Ringtone" menu to turn off the ringer.

You may want to leave the vibrate mode OFF and your ring tone ON and use the quick keys to switch between ring and vibrate. Two ways to do this, push and hold the # key to switch between normal mode (the settings you chose in "Call Ringtone" and "Call Vibrate") or use the side volume button to access the "Master Volume" and select "All Off", "Vibrate" or a ring tone volume.

If this helps you, please leave me a good rating.

My Jitterbug flip phone is not ringing or vibrating for incoming calls. It says it is on 'high' volume

My friend is having this same issue with his phone, also from Greatcall. They assure me that it is, in fact, ONLY HIS phone that does this. Thus it is an issue with HIS PHONE only, and not a known software or hardware issue. He is now on the 4th phone, all of the previous ones having the EXACT same issue as this, in ONE YEAR.... But, it is ONLY his phone, remember... So obviously there is a lack of knowledge on GREATCALL and JITTERBUG's parts, as far as the issue, and a lack of concern that there are OTHERS having the same issue occur.........

Can the jitterbug ringer be turned off?

You can set your phone to Vibrate or silent mode so that the phone vibrates rather than rings. With the phone on and open, look at the inside screen while adjusting the ringer volume using the rubber volume button on the outside of the phone. As you adjust the volume, the inside screen will display the ringer volume level. It ranges from Max to Vibrate. Simply turn it down until the level reads Vibrate.
