My DeLonghi PAC A110L portable air conditioner is leaking water. How do I fix this?

Hallo

If an Air Conditioner is on cooling then the Air Conditioner also removes humidity from the air any Split Unit, Window Wall A/C you name it... Any A/C on cooling dehumidify the air in the room.

To decrease the volume of the water:
1) Clean Air filter/s
2) Keep doors and windows close( can open now and again).

I don't know how that portable A/C of your look like but I believe theirs a water pan inside that needs cleaning I think it's full.( best is to service the hole A/C).

Hope this was useful.

Yes this is normal. Your a/c pulls water from the air that is blowing out. If it is real humid then you are going to get a lot of water in the tank

How to change or clean the filter and where to download a manual

DeLonghi has the manuals for their portable air conditioners here: http://delonghiusa.com/support/product_manuals/5#table-jump . The direct link to the PAC C120 manual is http://delonghiusa.com/support/sites/default/files/product_manuals/m-PAC+C120.pdf .

Before cleaning, turn off the air conditioner. To clean the filter, pull it straight up from behind the top of the air intake (on the back of the PAC C120). Vacuum off the filter. If it is very dirty, immerse it in warm water and rinse several times. (The water should not above 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees F)) several times. Then allow the filter to air dry. Slide the filter back into the air conditioner and turn the unit back on.

I hope this helps.

Delonghi Pac-C110 air conditioner The compressor is overheating and shutting down but works fine when running. There is a slight squeaky noise when running that seems to come from the squirrel cage...

The overheating & squeaking may be a result of a blockage in the exhaust hose. Or the exhaust hose has to much of a downward slope. Also, try cleaning the air intake filter. It may be clogged.

Leaking

Please check the water container for leaks. Normally,
it does not leak, since the water is supposed to evapo-
rate due to compressor heat. The water that the aircon produces goes to a containing pond near the compressor. So that if there is a leak, it emanate from
this area. May this tip help you.

Buckets of water leaking but the reservoir is dry!!!!

If you have cleaned the air filters then that is the first step. Next you want to check the condenser coil. That is the coil that is outside. If it is dirty you will have a low charge situation which could cause lots of condensation. Also if the condenser coil on the outside is clean and you are getting lots of water than you my have low charge of refridgerant. If that is the case you will need a professional to come and charge the unit and find the leak. Did you check to see that the unit is level. Because is should drain to the outside. The unit should be installed in a way that the water drains to the outside.

Delonghi pac-02 a/c

I had similar problem .... on very humid days unit leaks ..... temp solution for me was to drain the unit .... inserted wire coat hanger into tube .... lots of watery gook came out.. - even tilted/tipped the unit inorder to get as much water out of it.......afterwards unit worked fine.

We are VERY SASTIFIED with the Delonghi Pinguino - bought it years ago when it first came out and it has provided years of troublefree service .... the water build up / leaking was only recently - in fact we never drained the thing until this year.
