I have a Danby Premiere 45 pint Dehumidifier, Model DDR4507EE. will not drain through hose

  • kdick7 Jul 08, 2008

The only hole is the spout over which the hose is placed. But the water will not run down the hose, it leaks into the receptacle which still needs to be emptied. The hose is placed through the front of the unit and fits onto this spout. Am I missing something?

We have Danby Model DDR557HE-7 and cannot locate our Manual. We need to disconnect hose and have excess water go to bucket. How is this done?? If we had copy of Manual we wld be able to search same...

All Danby dehumidifiers, regardless of the model number operate the same way.
The link below to a 50 pint model should provide all the info you need.

http://www.danby.ca/cms/uploads/products/en_manual/DDR5009%2C_6009%2C_7009REE_EFOM.pdf

However, I think you'll find that draining into a bucket is not an option. As the hose drain relies entirely on gravity to drain. So, it will not drain down and then up into a bucket. The hose drainage method, is designed to drain into a floor drain or a sump.

Hope this helps you.

I have lost the instructions for the danby premiere 50 pint dehumidifier. Can you please help me as I have not idea how to reset it. Is there instructions I can have access to on line

The easiest way to reset it is to Turn the unit Off and unplug it for 15 minutes. Then plug *** back in and turn it ON. During the 15 minute timeout, it should have had time to reset itself and revert back to the original factory settings. Now, you can set the controls, as you like.

Bucket fills instead of going down the drain

You may have an unintentional trap in the line (an up and down up and down. Hose has to lay flat on floor to drain.

Water will not go down drain tube

Sounds like you have a clog. Either try plunging the drain in the stationary tub or replace the line from the humidifer.. Just a thought
