Remote sensor on tv not responding I,have to turn on tv manually. change input manually,tv reception is ok. Volume cannot be controlled,it will lock in at full volume or drift back & forth,mostley...

Have you checked your remote to see if its working? If you have a digital camera or camera phone, point the remote at the lense and see if it shows up on camera screen. If it is working then the IR sensor on the tv could be bad.

The volume does not change when connected to my tv. The volume does change when i play dvd's. I have had it working before but since I have moved it does not. please help.

TV remote varies the TV amplifier drive - you are probably plugged into the "line" output of the TV (which is before the TV amplifier). Line out is a fixed level (your DVD preamplifier is controlled by the DVD remote).

Anyway, with the TV on - go to the home theater box and increase the volume there. Once you get that set, you should be able to use the Home theater remote to always control the volume for everything displayed on your TV (except channel changes)
